MemberReal World wrote:Jim probably had the beta ready to go out last summer most likely. It’s amazing when Deadaim true tatics are finally out in the open Jim comes back.can’t the person who got into the two deadaim secret forums now download the new deadaim and pass it along to people?
The beta has supposively been done for a while, but was just released after i posted that article on their site. The person who hacked into the forms, justin and jason, were caught and banned from the sites on their names so now longer have access to the beta forums because dead aim patched it. The beta download could be cracked easily..Theres a link to it in one of the screenshots if you want to give it a whirl all thats protecting it is a password, I personally wouldn’t waste my time but if you want give it a try.
BigBaseBaller wrote:I don’t doubt your statements, but can you post links or further information?I do, Maurizio has taken the time to personally code AIMutation and also M:M, I also have talked to him and know a lot of people who know him and this is not something he would do.

I introduced M:M to a few ‘Messenger Friends’ who actually are behind another program called Messenger Discovery. I know nothing more than this, as I didn’t follow it anymore.
As I am saying, no one can know for sure, so do not blame anyone unless you have the proof. 🙂

MemberI’m not sure about M:M for MSN messenger but as far as i know this is not an MSN messneger section…I know that the codes for AIM are real although they are probably basically the same as AIMutation, and further more, there has been no actions taking again Maurizio for “stealing codes for MSN m:m. You can accuse anybody of anything. I could say Dead aim stole my ideas for their program! dosen’t make the statement true. If he did steal the coding he sertainly would not be selling the product any more, somebody would have probably shut him down by now.

MemberWhen asked about it Maurizio said the following
“Old news. When I first released M:M for MSN, someone who I gave a copy to for review purposes who’s identity will be kept secret to protect their stupidity leaked it to the self proclaimed ‘Advanced C++ programmer’ known as TheBlasphemer. This kid seemed to think he was the only person in the world with knowledge of the Assembler programming language and started accusing me of stealing ‘his’ code for changing the size of avatars in MSN Messenger. Ofcourse, he’s a bum buddy of Patchou, the Messenger Plus! authour who in turn is also the business partner of the same guys behind C2 Media (lop.com, the spyware company) and who are also behind the very lame Palfun addon for AIM. It’s my opinion that they tried to tarnish my reputation as payback for forcing them to change the skin format in Palfun that they ripped from aiMutation which also gave them a ton of bad publicity. In short, there’s no truth in it, I write my own code as can be clearly seen in the aiMutation source code.”March 25, 2005 at 3:21 am #117294Real World

MemberOh of course there will be, but a lot of people don’t know a bout cracked versions and keygens and all that good stuff. A lot of people will be stupid and put up the $5 once again. That is why i put this article out, the people who actually pay for dead aim are just wasting their money and I think they should know what dead aim thinks about their customers.

Ofcourse there are bound to be other people with the same, or even more, knowledge than me.
However when Messenger:Mate got released, and had the exact same feature as StuffPlug-NG, I couldn’t resist from checking out the assembly code for it.
Suprisingly, the code Maurizio uses is almost completely the same as StuffPlug-NG’s code,
and even more suprising was the fact that while not a seperate function, it still used the return register (eax) in a very weird way, almost like the programmer doesn’t even know what the code actually does.
This is pretty solid proof that the code was just copied from a disassembly, and thus ripped.
I think it is very childish from Maurizio to do this kind of things, and even more childish trying to bring me down.
Yes, Patchou is my friend, but I am in no way affliated with his company or C2Media.
If maurizio keeps going on like this, I will publish the paper I wrote about the rip publically, and I don’t think that’d be good for his reputation.
I’ve kept it for myself since I think some healthy competition is good for the community, however someone with an attitude like this is not.
Now a little message to Maurizio, because I am certain he reads this: Go **** yourself…Thank you very much for reading my rantings,
I apologize for any rude language I have used, but this just pisses me off…Bye,

MemberWhiteMateria wrote:There is always something fishy going on with deadAIM. The way they handle some of the customer complaints and other areas seem to be lacking. Wait…this is fishy how? If DeadAIM is truly affiliated with AOL/AIM, then their customer service is spot-on. 😉Oh yeah, Jon8RFC was banned from DeadAIM over a year ago…and I didn’t even post anything to deserve that! My password was AIM+, so maybe since Jim/AOL killed off AIM+ (my personal opinion I’ve stuck with for a couple years, don’t bash me:)), he wasn’t down with my password being that? Jealousy and greed aren’t a good asset to a programmer…or anyone for that matter!
