I agree Win ME sucks big time!!!! Win 2k rulez!!!! Its the coolest OS and runs MSN 6 with ease…. smooth ….. funky….
I waited like 5 minutes and it still didnt sign in……i guess i’ll just have to wait till its offical release
The Freezing is Microsoft’s way of telling everyone to upgrade to a WinNT based OS. 😉
oh and It runs great on WinXP.
You might try making sure you’re running the latest Windows and IE updates. Check http://www.windowsupdate.com
I had a similar problem on one of my XP machines, and updating to the latest service packs and applying the latest security patches fixed it up and got MSN 6 working.

Programs never leave your PC when you delete them. They always have parts stored away in the system registry, even when uninstalled! When you download a new msn, parts of the old 1 are still there which can get in the way! anyhow… this should help your WIN ME freezing issue!
1.Exit msn messenger completely
2. click Start, then Run, type “regedit” and click OK
3.Then go to (they look like small folders) :
MyComputerHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftMSNMessenger.
Click the ‘MSNMessenger’ key (Do not double click! just highlight it so it should turn blue)
then go to the Edit menu, and then click Delete.
Click “Yes” to confirm the operation.
4. Install your msn 6 file and see what happens!
Im running WIN ME too! I had the exact same problem, i did this and MSN worked a treat! Let me know how you get on FOLX! :confused:
P.S. I like to think of WIN ME as “special” rather than sh1t -l[]l! 😉
