i made a copy of my old dll, installed the new one… everything worked except that I cannot access or save any rooms to my Favorites. so i’ve gone back to the old dll until someone here offers me some help 🙂

Kudos to VB for sharing the updated DLL file with everyone. I also noticed that the favorite rooms don’t work, however. I haven’t reverted to the old DLL — I like the look and feel of v5.6 soo much better than v6 — but it sure would be nice to have the favorite rooms work again. Any hope of a patch, VB? (Don’t ya hate it when we just keep asking for more, more, more :p)

I’m a lil slow. I have 2 questions. I had to redo my computor, and when I came back on line. everythng went to hell. although the new messenger looks good, I cant do wht I use to,1. how do I get it the old messenger back.. take it slow whn you explain it to me.. i’m special.lol…2. I had ytunnel pro.. now that has changed and my old keys doesnt work, do you have any suggestions where I can get a key, so as to take this ytunnel basic off.any help would be appericated…:D

Want To Remove the help menu on YM 6?

Open up your regedit
start->run->regedit

And go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREYahooPagerProfiles
Select Your User ID, and create a new DWORD Value Of:

No Help Menu

with 1 as the Value.

And There you have it, no more help menu…

Anyways. Is there anyways that yoiu can make it so the buttons in teh messenger windows are smaller or anything? Or atleast fix the smilies in the buddy list I they aren’t as big.

Those are some of my major beefs with YIM6

i will see what I can do. I will also mention that this Skinning uses up alot of the messenger resources this is also a reason you not being able to get into the chatrooms with a sight of 1 click * I will see what I can do !

blah being ill royally sucks, anyway booochodu did you by anychance install 1671 on top of 1643 ? cause I saw your post just and was well enough to totally remove the whole of yahoo 1643 and then reboot totally and install 1671 then close down yahoo and install the patch, and its working ok for me so far yet the only problem I have is posts not coming thru but thats nothing to do with the dll nor would be your emoticons I guess, cause all VB has done ( correct me if im wrong ) is just added the menus to the 1643 version that may be your problem, but you may be better of waiting for vb to answer this or others who have upgraded to 1671

Treavellerscross first you should know about res_msgr.dll . this dll file is always works the whole yahoo actions not only menus .. pms file sharing and more .. pm windows in inclueded in dialig catagiry 499 dir .. so . guess there is linking prob between emotions and pm window.. .. may need some miner changes .. .. I am waiting for VB reply…

thanks for the dll, I got there eventually. the “favorite room” option is still omitted… is there a reason why the favorite rooms option does not work with v2 of the update?
