I believe the site is named “Cool-Yahoo” not the software. Have a look under the Our Programs section there for the Menu Update downloads.

I make these Menu Updates for users to make it easier for them to have better access. I have today read a Topic posted by booochodu , if he is distributing updates I will stop making them updates and I will tell you that you cant use Resource Hacker to add the Menu’s in different places 99% of the time they wil not work and for changing all of the yahoo instant messenger around is actually in Breach OF the TOS – I have not done that is all I have done is made the menu updates which does not state I am Breaking the TOS but where booochodu is concerned he is breaking the Terms of the Yahoo Service by changing messenger to what I should say a complete buggy junk hole!
hello mr VB dont blame me .. I did not break TOS. I gave a hint to people how to change . and convert messenger comfortable. thats it ..
I never said “i will distribute any prog and updates”i just made it for my self ..

And again I find myself telling a BigBlueVeteran (what’s in a name, really?) that they shouldn’t make posts containing only one word, sentence or expression. You are wasting forum space, not to mention nerves and patience of moderators.
Consider yourself warned.
As for the topic at hand, you are making modifications to the Yahoo Messenger client. By releasing a modified version of the Yahoo Messenger program YOU are actually the one violating the copyright on the Yahoo Messenger program.
As for your ‘Terms of Service’, I have no idea where those are coming from? ‘Terms of Service’ are what you get when you sign up or register for a certain service. Terms of service do not apply to products, but only to services. If you want to protect your software (product), you will need to get a licensing system for it, which is not going to be free in most cases.
August 13, 2004 at 2:42 pm #44143asian_princessParticipantI just downloaded today updates for YM (which made it version 1750) and it was a mistake. I even went to the trouble of uninstalling everything. Then I downloaded again Yahoo Messenger again and installed VB’s update for that make thinking it might be the one causing the problem. Unfortunately im still getting error message. Got any idea VB what it might be?
How can I go back to version 1710?
August 13, 2004 at 3:03 pm #44113Jeff HesterKeymasterits no problem with the Menu Updates it must be something gone wrong in your system maybe if you could post me error messages here I will be able to give you answers to your questions

August 16, 2004 at 3:33 pm #44158kimmyMemberVB_Packets, something you might want to know. I installed the DLL file. It works great, however, when I try to add a Emoticon Yahoo freezes up.
September 2, 2004 at 3:27 pm #44144asian_princessParticipantanother problem with build 1750 is “invite to conference”.. my pc always hangs up when I try to invite a group to a conference. Was this bug fixed with the new DLL?
September 2, 2004 at 3:30 pm #44145asian_princessParticipantdoes other people experience this kind of problem or is it just me?
September 5, 2004 at 5:51 pm #44115Jeff HesterKeymasterWould anyone have a link to the reg_msgr update? I had to reinstall yahoo messenger and lost it . I do not want to join vbs site to get it . If someone can help me out I would appreciate it .
