MemberI also have YM 7.5.0.333 running here on XP(Home)-SP2 with no problems whatsoever. (And I’m a “heavy user”!)
(In fact – before I read that it was for XP and up – I installed it easily on my W98SE PC, and ran it there with no problem too!! ๐ )

MemberI installed 7.5 and switched back to 7.0 437 because the beta did not have a Net2Phone tab. I use that to make calls at only 2 cents a minute to any phone in the US

MemberSomething really strange happened. I added a new list to my Yahoo Address Book and Y! Messenger 7.5 crashed. Other than that I dont seem to experience any problems so far.

But…. my 7.5.0.333 lets me sign up direct to Yahoo (no Net2Phone) involved, and call USA for just US1c/min !Details here from Yahoo, and also my own site here has info on this AND 2 or 3 other neat new features in the Beta (e.g. Contact Search)

MemberI usually sign in under invisible mode, but many a times BETA changes my status to available :(. Is it just a status change bug or my messenger is trying to disconnect and reconnect again ?
I have MSN running parallely, I dont find any disconnection there. So the problem is not with my connection getting disconnected and reconnected.
Is anyone experiencing a similar problem?

Participantno i have absolutely no issues with 7.5 beta
Perhaps do a full reinstall and see if problem persists.

Participanti believe there are many out there who are having problems with file/photo sharing, including me, and it’s a concensus that this is a yahoo problem. would anyone know if this problem was fixed in v 7.5?

This is why you shouldn’t install things you aren’t sure of or that have no credible sources. I checked http://wwww.processlibrary.com and those two exe’s you posted aren’t found there. They do look a bit weird though. What type of spyware/adware checking program(s) do you use? Try using Ad-Aware and SpyBot as well as Microsoft Antispyware. All three together I’m sure you will find if there is anything malicious on your pc. Also run a virus scan.As for posting a new topic, look on the upper left corner as well as the bottom left of a forum section and you will find a button that looks like this

MemberHiya, LLL.
I once found similar(!??) files on my PC, which no amount of googling could find any reference to.
I seem to remember I discovered or concluded they WERE indeed spyware/virus type things, but with randomly generated filenames (hence lack of finding reference to them).
With some nervous hesitance I simply deleted them, and have indeed lived to tell the tale!March 21, 2006 at 7:06 pm #134790muk_sd

MemberIt seems there’s a new Beta available, replacing 7.5.0.333 I guess.
I don’t know it the normal Yahoo site now offers this one (they never TELL you what version you’re getting… till you’ve GOT it ๐ก ) …
… but I’m getting mine from HERE. ๐April 4, 2006 at 8:04 pm #134800Strigoi
MemberI’ve just downloaded the BETA version and mine is 7.5.0.647 I dont know why some are able to download one version and others arent…
Anyway it looks good, havent tried it yet but i will tonight, hopefully it’ll work better with voice and file transfer and everything else, cause i expect evolution not involution…
The thing that i dont understand though is WHY DO I HAVE ADS ON MY YAHOO MESSENGER???Yes they’re Yahoo related ads but **** IT!It takes space in the window and just bugges me.Why did they have to spoil this??I’m already looking for some kind of ad remover or something…hopefully i’ll find one ๐April 5, 2006 at 1:30 pm #134796Eagle_Kiwi
MemberHi Strig. ๐
Yeah, the Beta from the official YM site WAS 7.5.0.333 till about 10 days ago, when it changed to 7.5.0.647. I updated, but see no difference at all in those 2.I get quite lost with Yahoo these days – I suspect people see different options etc on various pages depending on what country they’re in – which makes life RIDICULOUS for trying to exchange info with others.
I dunno, maybe some countries still don’t get access to ANY Beta ?As for ADS – hey man, have you seen MSN, or AIM, or PalTalk !?? This tiny ad box that YM uses now is NOTHING compared with them!!
Anyway, be PLEASED they’ve added adverts – it means they stay in business, and can still offer YM free. Well, I’m pleased anyway! ๐BTW, I think they goofed a bit. The ads are at the BOTTOM, so by adjusting window position you CAN remove them from sight. I figure “smart” programs put ads at TOP, so people CAN’T avoid them. (I’m sure YM will catch on there before long ๐ ๐ )
