MemberThe only way to do it via Hex that I’ve found so far has a downside to it. It will disable Launchcast music statuses and HyperIM.

Participanti hexed the ad and lanuchcast status messages are still working.
found also a way to leave the chat transition ad blank
just wanna check it more to find a easier way to do it.

MemberHummm. Is it the same hex location you posted above Dermot?
EDIT: Hummm, I hexed it out, and HyperIM music statuses are broken. Haven’t tryed Launchcast itself.
EDIT 2: It does disable Launchcast too when I hex “enabled” to “disable”.
EDIT 3: I stopped focusing upon the ad, and am now trying to find ways to completely surpass the chat transition.

ParticipantUm, I just installed this version, and the Ad Destroy 2.5 still works for me just fine.
.. correction, it just popped up ¬_¬
A new feature? No one notice the phone in and phone out links above the advert?

MemberThose have been there since 7.5. Maybe even before 7.5.

ParticipantLAUNCHcast still works after I hex edit messenger.exe.

MemberYou mean the statuses right? Music statuses are broken for me when I edit it.
Can you Rapidshare your YahooMessenger.exe? I want to compair them and see if I’m doing something wrong.

ParticipantYou “used” to be able to turn them off detn8r
under messenger show/hide >> voice bar
but it seems the latest build has “removed” that option from there.
What should have been said about the launchcast is the status works and sends right to your mates, just it won’t be “clickable” to you.
Will work on it more and let you know, if it comes down to use a hexed exe i will just make Ad Destroy place it also along with the dll and blank.html

MemberWell, if I can’t get it to work without breaking the clickable status, then I’ll skip the ad and live with it. Or I can always lower my monitor resolution, as that seems to hide it.

ParticipantThat’s weird, because I never had them before, and I never turned off any options in my preferences. And Yahoo offered VOIP services back when 7X was around? Interesting.
And perhaps I missed it on a previous release, but are there new sounds (such as a contact signing in or out)? Because I know they are different, just not sure when they changed.

MemberYes, there is new sounds.

Did they or didn’t they? Also, what did you do specifically to the filter1.enc file to fix the word chat filter bug? And can you and anybody else include include all the new sound files in a zip? I wanna hear what they sound like. I usually have my sounds off, and I like how I have my yahoo setup with version 7 right now and only want to upgrade if these issues have been fixed. Keep up the good work though, yahoo users need more people like you guys. Hopefully you guys could like calloborate into making a website devoted to yahoo, their news, and patches much like the ones that I have seen for MSN/WLM users.

We don’t need any other sites! 😛 You get all those options heres, we have the news section and everything. But glad you like all the helpful users we have!

MemberWell what I really meant was a universal patch much like the one over at A-patch and mess.b where it has all the patches clumped into one program instead of all these separate individual patches.
