If you mean changing “enable”” to “Enable”, as it is case sensitive, then whenever I change “enable” it ruins:
1) “Send SMS” function
2) No way to choose “Home country” in “Preferences” -> “Connection”
3) No “Voice Bar” in “Show/hide”So touching this “enable” part in .exe ain’t exactly an option. Besides, I don’t really want to loose clickable status also, only thing I really am ready to sacrifice is headphones icon. I just have a very huge program collection, and prefer not to have many bugs in it, so yes, getting stick to 8.0.0.683 then. Thanks people, sorry for disturbing.

August 18, 2006 at 8:46 am #150395StrigoiMemberOk bugs and problems aside i’ll ask again, can somebody please post an Ad remover without the poligamy option in it??
August 18, 2006 at 1:25 pm #150347DermotParticipantjust open regedit and delete the following key
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareyahoopagerTest Plural “5”
or whatever number the patcher has made for it.
will disable polgamy, for mine anyways.
August 18, 2006 at 1:55 pm #150329aneagleParticipantAny of you guys see the advantage in moving from 683 to 701? All I see in 701 is you accept the ad or you get a messy window.
I did a clean-up and remove everything having the string “client_ad” from my computer and watch the packets, Y!M still sends out a packet with the request “GET….client_ad…”.
August 18, 2006 at 4:09 pm #150376imported_Ven0mMemberOne advantage is the nickname/user ID bug fixed.
August 18, 2006 at 4:31 pm #150330aneagleParticipantOh, yes. When I check “Yahoo! ID” in Preferences, Appearance. the friend list shows ID and the status box shows my name. I check the other option, one of my friend ID changes to nick name and the status box shows my ID. Maybe it’s more easy to fix this on the 683 than to remove the ad on 701. I’m going to get some sleep and will look into this.

August 18, 2006 at 10:40 pm #150406ShadowdeathMemberI have a question. You noticed that menu scrolling in 701 is different, right? I mean the color. If in 683 when I was scrolling through menu it was a simple grey, in 701 it’s beautiful purple. Point is – I want to have it in 683. This isn’t made in .exe file, so it’s in some other file. Sorry, to the point again – what file should I copy from 701 to 683 to have a purple color in menu scrolling? I hope I made myself clear. Thanks.
And forgot to ask – will it cause any bugs?
August 18, 2006 at 11:48 pm #150337aneagleParticipantI run 683 and 701 but don’t see the color change in menu hightlight or menu item highlight, it only changes if I switch Skin. The color is from Windows color scheme setting for Classic skin. From Yahoo!SharedGraphics.xml if you select Indigo or Marverick Blue.
August 18, 2006 at 11:55 pm #150405ShadowdeathMemberThat’s strange. No, after I installed 701 menu item highlight was purple instead of 683’s grey. And it has nothing to do with the skins, if only original “Indigo” skin was changed.
Yes! I checked, it’s in graphics! Thanks! Here:
C:Program FilesYahoo!SharedGraphicsIndigomenuitem.bmp
It’s purple, not grey like in 683. Thank you very much!
