MemberI know that bug,i dont have Ignore everyone though. If i go into a chatroom i do receive private IMs from the people there so that posibility is definitely excluded.Any other suggestions?

KeymasterIf you want to switch between viewing nicknames and IM names in chat, Also able to follow users again
This file is only for 8.0.0683
move the file into C -> Program Files -> Yahoo! -> messenger
Backup the res_msgr.dll that is there.
While in a chat room click on “View” dropdown menu and choose “Show Nickname”
While in a chat room right click on someone in the list on the right and choose “Follow user”

KeymasterThe only thing I did in the file is added is
MENUITEM “Show &Nicknames”, 642. Under menu # 783
and
MENUITEM “&Follow user”, 33140. Under menu # 903August 4, 2006 at 7:10 pm #149740imported_Ven0m
MemberYea, it’s real simple to add back. I, myself have added back Show Nicknames and Follow User back to Yahoo 7.0 and above.
EDIT: Chris, your link appears to be invalid.
EDIT 2: Ok, I made my own little hack that adds Follow User and Show Nickname menu items back to Yahoo 8.0.0.0683.
Yahoo! Messenger v8.0.0.683 Follow User & Show Nickname Hack:
Features:
– Re-adds the “Follow User” menu item to the right click menu in chat rooms
– Re-adds the “Show Nicknames” menu item to the View menu in chat rooms.Instructions:
1. Make sure Yahoo! Messenger is fully closed.
2. Extract this .rar file to C:Program FilesYahoo!Messenger (or whatever your default Yahoo directory is) and override the existing res_msgr.dll file (Please, make a backup of it first).
3. Restart Yahoo! Messenger and verify that the 2 menu items work in the chat roomDownload:

Have fun! 😉
Chris: Your download link gives a “invalid download link” error.
Also, Allads will only take out a handful of the ads in Yahoo 8, but, it won’t take all of them out.
