Do you have a file for adding follow user back to 7.5 ???
August 8, 2006 at 2:21 pm #149749StrigoiMemberWell Dermot, you’ve kinda made a boo-boo.I used your Ad destroy and now the plug-in slots are empty of any graphics, pictures, writing, whatever. They’re just empty boxes.I guess i’ll have to reinstall messenger, again…
August 8, 2006 at 5:49 pm #149715Jeff HesterKeymasterDemot’s, Nicola’s, and my Ad remover does not block plug-ins. Important->If your Ad remover that you use, blocks plug-ins don’t use software from the creator of the Ad remover. All three Ad removers are safe to use. They just don’t block ads the same way.
So I make myself more clear. The Plug-in key points to the plug-in gallery website to install new plug-ins.
I got a step by step Ad remover read-me included in download. It also does not try to block Ads that are in Yahoo messenger 5.6 also in Yahoo messenger 8 and vise versa. Its made for 5.6, 6, 7, 7.5, and 8

So do not go and say ALL, just to get people to use your Ad remover.
August 8, 2006 at 7:07 pm #149716Jeff HesterKeymasterNikolas’ download your right I just checked and does not block the “plug-ins” gallery but blocks “Tutorials” which is no biggy. But his Ad block works totally diff then the one I made. I will be fair and say both mine and Nikolas’ downloads are recommended. Just depends if you want to Hexhack yahoomessenger.exe or Edit urls.xml.
August 8, 2006 at 11:51 pm #149728DermotParticipantJust let me make this clear..
Ad Destroy 2.5 DOES NOT touch the plug in registry key.
Ad Destroy touches nothing to do with the plugin Mechanism of Y! Messenger
If this was the case, the somewhat 100 times i tested it on my own pc i would have noticed that effect.
the key below stays intact the entire Ad Destroy 2.5 process..
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareyahoopagerYUrl, Plug-in Gallery Value = “http://us.gallery.yahoo.com/messenger”
Tutorial has advertisements in Yahoo! Messenger 6.0 and 7.0
Why it is blocked!
Ad Destroy 2.5 aims at ads on all builds above 6.0! not just 8.0!
Do you even know what the tutorial key is?..
Anyways, just thought i would let you know Strigoi that Ad Destroy 2.5 is not responsible for your loss of Plugin material, sorry
Anyways i’ll leave it at that 🙂
August 9, 2006 at 12:03 am #149717Jeff HesterKeymasterThe tutorial key sets the webpage it goes to when you click tutorials on the messesngers, help drop down menu. If you put “*” it deletes the link to were tutorials go’s to. If you delete tutorials from the list of Ad blockers it removes tutorials from the help drop down menu. So tutorials is no Ad.
August 9, 2006 at 12:30 am #149744imported_Ven0mMemberI think he said it stays intact, and I can verify this on a clean install of 863.
August 9, 2006 at 3:59 am #149729DermotParticipantTutorials Opened in a Form like Yahoo! Today in Older Builds of Yahoo! Messenger.
Tutorials are done Via a login from Yahoo! Messenger to Your Browser now.
to http://help.yahoo.com/us/tutorials/ms8/index.html
but you can always replace * with http://help.yahoo.com/us/tutorials/ms8/index.html
well i just updated Ad Destroy 2.5 To Reject the Tutorial key if on builds with new tutorial method.
get it here Ad Destroy 2.5
August 18, 2006 at 11:22 pm #149754ShadowdeathMemberPeople, there is one bug (?) in build 683 and 701. Maybe earlier versions too. When I send SMS to someone, then go to “Save as”, in instant messaging it saves conversation in text files, but it saves SMS messages only as a blank files. Can somebody fix it, so it would save SMS conversations just as usual instant messaging conversations?
August 18, 2006 at 11:59 pm #149745imported_Ven0mMemberOnly Yahoo probably. Send feedback about it to their website.
August 25, 2006 at 7:40 pm #149734master2000ukMemberhey dermot
