Dear Fellow user,
This reply is in regard to ur query about the Yahoo Messenger Mobile problem ( “This number has chosen not to receive any text messages” ).
I also think that the problem originates when you send more than 3 messages from Yahoo messenger to a mobile friend n that friend didnt/cudnt reply back. I think , as some other user mentioned in the forum, Yahoo may block message transfer to that mobile suspecting a possible spam attack.
I myself was having the same problem a few days ago. But I was able to rectify myself with a guess-work I did.
One of my friends sent me a few messages from yahoo to my new cellphone. I didnt receive the messages sent on to my cell in time. So I cudnt reply back. Later Yahoo blocked messages to my cell. I thought If I cud send a message from my cell to Yahoo, then may be I might get unblocked. So I was thinking abt ways to send a message from my cell to yahoo. But How can I ? I didnt know to which number I had to reply to reach Yahoo from my cell connection.
So I added a friend of mine with a cell having the same network connection as I did. I added him in my Mobile List n sent him a message from Yahoo Messenger and he got it . His reply ID to Yahoo was +8242802. So I thought what if my reply ID were some number adjacent to this number. So I sent a junk message to +8242801, 803, 804 n 805 as a test. My cell showed “message sent” n “message delivered” prompt for +8242801.. the other 3 messages failed since there was no Yahoo ID associated with that number. I waited a few minutes .. n walla !!! I was able to send messages to my mobile. Hooray Its unblocked 🙂 .
So the solution in a nutshell : Send a message from ur cell to one of your friends who has added u in his/her mobile friends list ( preferrably to the same friend who reported u the problem first )
So I suggest all those who have similar problem to do the same. It might take some guessing n common sense from ur part.

Glad to know that the procedure helped u. Your using AIRTEL ha. Their latest AD is so long.. May be I will switch to AIRTEL too… Dunno 😀

messages.If you are no longer able to send a message to a specific friend, he
will need to reset your Yahoo! ID. He can do so by sending the

If your friend has accidentally blocked you, he can unblock by sending
the following command:unblock [Yahoo! ID]

I am using ICQ to send sms to my friends …….. But the one in india/.punjab who have spice and airtel connections i am not able to figure out how to sms them ………
what is the network# number for Airtel or Spice ????
Lets say the number that i am trying to sms is 9815623475 how will i sms this number using icq……

Someone plz help me out with this oneIf that’s a real # I’d suggest you edit and take it off of your post. I doubt any of my fellow members would use it for bad purposes, but anyone on the web could see it…I mean if it’s a real #. Also, if this is an ICQ problem you might find more answers posting in the iCQ forum. I do know this though about ICQ and SMS, they have cut back extensively. This is in part due to the companies charging for SMS from the sender. I know that if there’s not a link on ICQ for a company, you cannot send the SMS AND sometimes when there is a link….you STILL cannot send an SMS because the phone company have disabled SMS from ICQ because they now charge. That’s what happened when I tried to write my fiance’ when he was in Spain. The company still existed and still accepted SMS, but they did not accept SMS from the web any longer NOR did they allow free SMS. 🙁 Sorry. I hope that your issue has a happier ending.

Am a New member of Bigblueball… Well to send sms From ICQ select country INDIA type the number in network# and the remaining number in the next box provided okay!!!:)Plz Note: The network must be supported by ICQ before you can send ‘N’ recieve SMS

Read through the initial part of the thread it talks about how if a person does not reply to u’r messages yahoo will be blocked by the provider. There are a few solutions given it would be better if you tried it and then told us which solutions you tried and if you are still unable to send to a perticular number.
