If you have kids, or know someone who does, what do you tell them about the events of September 11th?Well, I know this topic must be a bit outdated, and I’m a little too young to have my own children, but I remember my my school [high school] just bluntly telling us, “terrorist attack, New York, World Trade, World War III possibly soon” … I mean it wasnt a big long speech, maybe they see us as being old and mature enough to just feed on whatever they tell us, or maybe they didnt really care because we’re Canada. But not all of us could understand, high school students; 17 … 18 years old, were panicking once they heard the news, I remember logging onto MSN at least a week after September 11, I would still see my friends’ screen names as “OH MY GOD! WORLD WAR 3 IS GONNA START!! I DON’T WANNA DIE!!” … i mean calm down there, It’s just a huge imbalance of power and opinions, dont you think you’re overreacting a bit?? Sure World War III was a great possibility at the time, and maybe still is … but what made you overreact in such a apprehensive manner? You took in the news the wrong way, possibly because you heard it in the wrong form. I spoke to some of my friends from other schools, they told me the School Board advised their teachers to avoid the topic completely. Mayhap that was a wise choice. Yes I know obviously you cant hide it, we have to know what’s going on in reality, but feed it to us easily. Bit by Bit. Dont shove it in our faces.

AnnaParticipantRAWK ON!! See I always told my little cousin that the lil’ dust fluffies under his bed were gonna do something to him one day, but HEY! I can tell him that Britney Spears and the presbyterians are gonna do it! … OH HECK! Britney Spears, the Presbyterians AND THE FLUFFIES!! WOOHOO!!
AnnaParticipantTheres another secret smiley not many people know about. In September 2001, Yahoo released Yahoo Messenger v5001015 (beta), and of course there were new secret smileys hidden in it, but what many didnt know was that there was one Smiley, . This ghost doesnt have any actual key commands and isnt programmed into the messenger so it’s basically usless. Yahoo then released v5001029 in where the ghost was replaced with the malicous *ooo scary* pumpkin . Woohoo May the Ghost Smiley RIP. hehe.

________________________________________________________Trillian v0.71 is one hell of a kick ass program! Before I had to log into each individual messenger and manage my contact lists, but now I have it all rolled into one bundle…this is so great. It’s so much easier to chat and to see who’s online. But then again what do I know … I’m only a teen
