i’m not sure is this will work for you, but sometimes i get the same error message when i try to sign on…when you open AIM (the sign on screen), click ‘setup’ (bottom left corner)…then click ‘connection’ on the right side of the window…click the ‘auto configure’ button…and then click ‘OK’..if a message comes up with a smiley face, this means that a connection was found, and click ‘OK’…then try to sign on again… let me know how this works for you….hope i helped 🙂
ok im not sure if this solution will work for your problem..but it works for me whenever i cant sign onto AIM…you know the box where it shows your screen name and your password? well click on the ‘setup’ button…and then click on the ‘connection’ button in the right corner of the screen…then click ‘auto configure’…a smiley face should come up saying that you have a connection…then click ‘ok’ ….and try to sign on again…good luck…i hope this solves your problem!

ummmm ..im using internet explorer version 5.50.4134.0600 ..if that helps…i have windows 98…as far as antivirus software i have norton.. im not sure about a firewall tho
idk why im using IE….it just came on my comp i guess..not sure if the parents would appreciate me going and changing everything….but could you maybe post a link or something so i can check out myIE2 ? thanks
i have windows 98..i did know that lol…anyway i think the problem could be with my firewall cuz i just read another post and the person had the same exact problem as me and she said it was her firewall…can u help me fix it? im not sure how to….it would be much appreciated:)
im doing my best to answer as many of your questions as possible…i just dont know what some of them mean…im not a computer whiz like u seem to be…but thanks for the help
