Did you try to unistall then go to Start > Search > AIM. Wait for everything to show up, then delete all the files. Now redownload a new copy of any version you want and reinstall. Let us know if it works.
Have you tried anything from 5.5 down? 5.2 would probably the most stable. You can get 5.2 from http://www.oldversion.com
Was the password changed by accident? Would you have any idea what it might have been changed to? Try that maybe.
Thanks Spike for all your help. I finally figured it out. It was somehow blocked in my outbound traffic.
You missed the most biggest of em all, AIM.:p
I had to vote for MSN because it’s usually the only one I use besides AIM.
Maybe try a different older version. 5.2 is very stable.
