Memberwell, I use this password generator: http://www.euronet.nl/~arnow/htpasswd/ and then I copy and paste the result in notepad and name it .htpasswd
in the AuthUserFile space I’ve tried putting
/movies/.htpasswd
/.htpasswd
and /flashmovies/movies/.htpasswd
none work. I’m almost positive that its either the .passwd file or the AuthUserFile section on .htaccess, because everything goes ok until I try to enter the password.EDIT: i’d also like to point out that if I put “require valid-user” at the bottom, the password box doesn’t even come up. I have to put “require user BBB”

MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by bronxyWhat are you asking?
For some of my password protected directory’s, my .htaacess is the following:
AuthType Basic
AuthName “Restricted Area”
AuthUserFile “/home/userid/.htpasswds/rootdirectory/passwd”
require valid-user
I’m saying it doesn’t work:

Memberyou can’t do that. there has to be some sort of addon. I’m not sure exactly how that works. I think the addon makes a temporary copy of some file….i really am not too sure. this is a question I would bring to middleman (http://www.middleman.krunchsoftware.com). As for putting an addon on just one? cant be done either. not that I know of anyway.

MemberI like using this as a startup inspector. It is very easy to find what should be removed:

Little add-on for AIM 5.9camster
Memberok, I know this is old, but I just wanted to say something. I heard everyone on this site talking about how much IE stinks and how Firefox rocks. So I downloaded it. 4 MINUTES after using it, when I go to a site, it says I have a browser that doesnt work with it. I’ve used IE ever since. Same with AIM. I tried Trillian. Just wasnt right for me

Memberdefinitely 3.1, easy to use, programs are easy to find, and it has the best look
sorry, I just wanted to say that. I can imagine some of your looks. definitely XP. I could never go back to the classic windows look now. And the startup looks good, and all programs run on it. And who voted for ME, anyways?

i knew that that didn’t sound like something you would write

Memberha, i’m lowest so far: You are worth exactly $1,566,220.00. maybe because i’m too young to answer accurately on some, like job, SAT, etc. but I did take the SAT in 7th grade for this program, but it was really bad. oh well. it’d be funny to see the code on how they score that.

Memberi saw that, too. one time I also saw someones post that said in alternative IM apps, “Is (I cant remember the name of it) any good?” Then under it was “Downloaded “Need help with (Whatever it was called)” by the same author

Memberyea, that was pretty funny. I didnt read the whole article, since i’ve already read 2 stories about it, so I don’t know if the video is on there or not, but if its not, here it is: https://home.comcast.net/~mr.mojo/Oops.wmv
what was with that “hoe-down” anyways? I know she was surprised and had to do something, but, come on.camster
Memberwell….you could ask people at school/job if they use it. otherwise theres other chat-rooms, but you have to be careful, I dont really like using them, or if you go to http://www.wondir.com and ask for someone to chat with, theres usually nice people there
