/goto and /follow are followed with a users screenname. /join is followed by the name of a chatroom. example: “/join dorkus_amongus25” “/follow dorkus_amongus25” or “/join chatterbox:5”. for a full list of chat commands, type /help in the text entry area of a chatroom.

there was a plugin for 6.1 and plus 2.5 called “wtbwplug” that allowed me to use full size images as my avatars, but it only work with messenger 6.1… is there an update for this plugin yet?
am I the only one who misses being able to invite users to chat? overall I am not happy with 6.0… it has many bugs. try clicking on a song that a user on your list is listening to with launch… it will crash messenger. sure, it’s pretty, but that doesn’t impress me. I might be more enthusiastic about the appearance of the program if it fuctioned better… I am thankful that Chet Simpson added the ability to turn nicknames off back in, because I despise viewing nicknames… especially when an idiot is on the mic and I cant find his name in the list to ignore him because his nickname has no correlation to his screenname.

there is no way to avoid having to activate voice manually when you join a chatroom with 6.0. if it becomes too bothersome, you could always just go back to using 5.6:)
the last time what you are describing happened to me I had ended up installing a trojan that was using port 80 and preventing yahoo and MSN messengers from connecting. here are some troubleshooting tips I recommend.
1. in your yahoo connection settings, try using no network detection. if that doesnt work, try using a proxy server.
2. find a program made specifically for trojan sniffing and scan your system.
3. perorm a complete CUSTOM uninstall of yahoo messenger, reboot, and reinstall.and my personal favorite…

this just tends to happen from time to time on every build of messenger I have used. yahoo servers just arent 100% reliable 100% of the time. who knew?
the join user in chat function was left out by yahoo. there are 2 ways to join a user in chat now.
***1. open a chatroom. in the text area of the chatroom type /goto username or /follow username
***2. the latest release of Y!TunnelPro (272) adds many of the “forgotten” options. if you have Y!TunnelPro 272 then simply highlight a users name on your list then clck the “Chat” menu and select “Join User in Chat”.
