Are there any more programs like the one from ikitek? If so, do they have a longer trial period than “Yahoo Message Archive Decoder” or free.
I’ve had that problem even when I had dail-up (I have cable now :D)
It’s nice to know that it wasn’t only me that is driven insane about getting five million offline messages asking if I was online or not….Maybe they just relized that they wasted way too much money on randomly sending cds of AOL garbage. It would be nice if I can get in touch with someone willing to dump all those AOL cds thateveryone and I get on AOL Time Warner’s front door
This has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard!!!! I’m suprised that it didn’t make the news since I live in IL. If they (the IM makers) are going to write these programs with these features they might as well make a system telling if the archive is turned on. (I know someone already said something simular to this.) What will they think of next?
That’s weird….. The download page for Logtime isn’t loading for me. I was going to use it to limit the AIM time for my girlfriend’s sister. I’ll check it every night I get on so I can get it.
It’s been awhile since I last used AIM because of Trillian, but does the person that I’m talking to must also have this to see them?

I kinda found out about how that happens and I had a simular problem… So what I did to fix it was to disconnect all my IDs except the one that I wanted to add the contact too…. It seemed to work..
Hats off to this site and the people who run it… I also didn’t know what Trillian was until about a month ago… I haven’t went back to any of my IMs except on yahoo to go in the rooms from time to time….
There’s another program that pretty good about preventing booting…. It’s called StayAlive2002… Whenever someone sends a boot code it catches it and puts it in a log for you to see… For those that know what they are doing, you can find out who’s responsible and get back at them if you want to…. So far it’s stopped about five potential booters… Check it out on http://www.download.com !
But there was a setback to meeting online people in person…. You have them call you and then the meeting is set up… I had a bad encounter that my friends still make fun of me for… The only good side to it was that I only had to endure three hours of torture….
I had something like this happen to me also… That would explain why I always had offline messages saying “hey are you there…..” and others like that… And then I would get the ones on my list that think that I’m online and they never get a reply and they would get mad at me cause I’m not talking back to them… That was another reason what I use Trillian for yahoo…..
