Yahoo has not phased out clients in the past. They all continue to work.

Thats how they phaze out old clients.
I am using Verizon but not their web gateway. For that I am using Mobileweb4u. It worked fine (with the Openwave browser on the phone) until a few weeks ago. I think the problem is on the Yahoo end. Perhaps they changed a protocol and it no longer accepts something from my browser.
In my experience, the profile status smiley does not show an invisible person as online. It does not matter what options are set.
I thought of the underage thing. So to check it out I filled out the form for a lost password, which requires the exact birthdate. I was able to reset my password, which means they have the correct birthdate, which means they consider me an adult.
I can create a new account and I can access the rooms fine. This only happens with one yahoo ID.
This problem happens with different versions of messenger on different computers. I don’t think reinstalling yahoo will help. This is not a problem on my computer.
