MemberAll of you will probably hate on me for this since noone really listens to “techno” but that’s what I turned to about 3 years ago.
I got sick of all of the mainstream crap the radio stations kept playing and found Electronica: Trance, Drum ‘n Bass, Breaks, Hard Trance, all of it.
It’s a lot more fun to me, and is never overplayed because, well, it isn’t played at all on the radio! (at least in the U.S.). Excluding dance radio stations in like Miami.
But yeah…there’s always new artists and sounds, and it’s great.
And please don’t say “Oh but techno just goes ‘boom chee boom chee” for 7 minutes!” because that’s simply not true. Those are only the “club mixes” of the songs, made exclusively to last long and keep the beat going in the club.
Alright I’m done. :p

MemberHi. Although it’s fun to do this…it is not worth doing it anymore because Yahoo! “locks” your status if you change it too much within a short amount of time. By “locks”, I mean that it simply won’t let you change it to anything than it last locked it on, for about an hour or so.
There used to be some programs to do this, but the only ones I knew of were ones that worked with Winamp, not WMP.

MemberOh ok I thought it meant it was a crack…like someone made a polygamy program for Messenger 7 and charged for it and someone else cracked it to make it free.
EliteNick
MemberI hate to be a pest and everything but isn’t that file at the top illegal? I looked in there and it says this:

MemberThanks a lot, that fixed it 🙂

MemberAlright. I’ll change the extension…however it worked when I uploaded it on myspace.com 🙂
Lol…but we know Yahoo!. And yeah I’ll throw in that option to display the song you’re listening to in a chatroom on the next version of Y!Amp…even though there’s prolly other progs that do it.
Anyway thanks guys I’ll try the first suggestion out first.
**edit**
Ok that worked…it didn’t like my gif image for some reason so I converted it to .jpg 🙂
Thanks. Btw, to Yahoo!, Inc. you should make it actually tell us what’s wrong instead of giving a false error message (i.e. “this image format is not supported”) :p

MemberWell we shouldn’t have to do all of that just to get AIM to work you know? lol but thanks…I guess I’ll resort to that if AOL stops working.

MemberWow. Well guess what. I went to oldversion.com and downloaded the older version and it froze at the same part…so I now am using AOL software (since my AIM screenname is also an AOL account). But hopefully they will fix this really dumb error.

MemberYou can try using a packet sniffer to get the ID’s and whatnot of the booter, but a lot of times they use bulk ID’s that can’t be traced back to their real ID….aka bots.
Anyway you can still give it a shot:
Commview – http://www.tamosoft.com/
Packetmon – http://www.analogx.com/
When you get the program to start monitoring, make sure you have it set on Yahoo! Messenger. To test it have someone IM you and then pause the “sniffing” to scroll up and you will see their ID and message. Then leave it open until the booter strikes again, and once you’re kicked off you should pause the sniffing again and scroll up to see what ID’s did it.

I’ve heard of the other one but have never used it.
