i defintly know its MSN messenger as everything works fine when i uninstall it. i have enough ram (about 300mb) and with messenger uninstaled it takes about 5 seconds to load all startup software and services. does it have something to do with network settings as i have a network running. i notice that when the machine is on the network it takes an additional 30 seconds to load up all services and software. could this be realtes to MSN messenger? i have tried disabling all network services and it makes no difference, the problem is still there. i have done MAJOR trouble shooting such as disabling various startup items, cleaning out the registry, uninstalling and instaling numerous times. i know my computer is fine (spec wise) and there are no viruses (i have norton antivirus and its always uptodate and have done complete system scans).
i realy appreciate the help
thanks in advance
