My WLM has always been a bit prone to logging me out now and again but recently it has gotten much worse, like every few minutes. It says the connection has been lost and it reattempts to connect in a few seconds and its successful, but its getting on my nerves.
This is the same for me – it tends to be worse in the evenings. I tried re-formatting my computer because of this but it didn’t make any difference.

When i do manage to stay connected, a lot of my messages and messages from my contacts seem to get lost. I know this because the “so and so is typing a message” label comes up at the bottom, but stops without an accompanying message.
Same for me too…

However, i’m having problems with googletalk now. I’m guessing it may be a problem with my router. I’ll post in that forum.
I too have been having problems with Google Talk signing out every few minutes… in fact, all Instant Messaging clients (even online Web Messenger) and non-MSN clients have been doing it.
It seems a small number of people are having exactly the same problem, but nobody has the solution 🙁

Hi,
Have a look at this thread https://bigblueball.com/forums/windows-live-messenger/38447-problems-contacting-adding-contacts-sign-freezing-read.html (with thanks to detn8r)
I’ve been having the same problem, but the link didn’t help me at all 🙁

MemberYep this happens to me too. I’m using WLM 8.1, Windows XP SP2, from south-east UK.
