Memberseb_thib_55,
You are saying that ALLEYCAT‘s first suggestion did not work for you? This was in the FAQ’s page by DJHyperbyte:
Quote:quote:Q: A few people have signed into MSN Messenger from my computer. How do I remove their email addresses from the sign-in list?
A: Go to ‘Control Panel’ and choose for ‘Users’. Click on your Windows XP username and then go to ‘Manage my network passwords’. Here you can simply delete the MSN login history. This is a somewhat simplified step of ALLEYCAT‘s suggestion. So you mean, you did all that, and deleted your username in the list, yet you are still able to “sign in automatically”? Perhaps retry the process and tell us exactly what happens.

MemberKaye,
Also, make sure that when you go to sign-in, you do not enable the “Sign me in automatically”, that will save your password and sign you in everytime once an internet connection is detected. This can also be disabled in the option menu as well.

MemberSimple. Wait for the next release hoping they work.

MemberAfter you remove them from the Custom Emoticon List, go into the actual directory of the custom emoticons and delete them from your computer.

Memberempty handed,
I haven’t tried this addon for MSN Messenger but it might be worth a try, it is the CE/DP Manager which can be found at http://www.mess.be
Other than suggesting that, which I am not sure will even do what you want, I can only think, manually remove them.fiebs101
MemberGin,
You say you’ve gone into MSN Messenger’s main window or (within a chat window) and done both of the following:
Tools > Audio/Video Tuning Wizard…
AND
Tools > Webcam Settings…Although you’ve done those you could not adjust the settings? Was the camera detected withhin MSN Messenger? Sorry if i’m repeating something already. Also, have you tried video conference in Windows Messenger? And you are positive you have the latest drivers for your webcam? Sorry for all the questions. Hopefully we can solve this problem!:)

Memberrathma,
Since yesterday, it hasn’t been too good of a time for us to suggest anything really, since the service is down temporarily. In the mean time we can only suggest to be patient and wait for the service to be back up and running properly, then we may be able to give a proper analysis and determine better what the problem possibly is.
Please view this thread for more information on the service being down:

MemberIs it only slow if you try sending him files or same if he tries sending you files? What do you two have for internet anyways? Do either of you have programs that would cause your internet to lag?
fiebs101
Memberdo you have a firewall on the computer that DOES work on your network as well?
fiebs101
MemberHave you tried reinstalling MSN Messenger? Do you have a firewall? Are you sure your drivers for the camera and graphics card are up to date? What do you mean when you say “i’ve checked using another computer”. Does that mean it worked on the other computer? the other computer wasn’t infected with a trojan? Sorry for bombarding you with questions, but it all might be able to help. Thanks

MemberHow about firewalls and such?
fiebs101
Memberhas this always been like this? or did it just occur recently? what version of MSN Messenger do you use? Have you tried reinstalling MSN Messenger?

Memberactually emax221, you are not entirely correct, I downloaded an emoticon pack from Mess.be and it installed it in one go. I am not too sure of this, but I believe the CE/DP Manager may be what you are looking for slowloris, but I am not positive if this addon performs the actions what you are looking for (i’ve never used it). At Mess.be I downloaded a MSN 6 Emoticon Pack, and it installed all in one go. Hopefully this helps you.
