Hi, I have the same error as you guys but I’m using a completely different system. My specs are: –

Windows 2000
Http Proxy signon
Firewall
Windows Messenger 6.1

I do not have msn messenger installed.
My internet connection is usually, initially slow for about 30 seconds & then almost instant. The error occurs withing 3-5 seconds of clicking on sign in.

I’m guessing this is a timeout issue for my version of the problem. Does anyone know how to change this so it attempts to connect for about 1min 30secs?

Or if anyone has a different idea, please reply as anything is helpful at the moment.
