maybe i’m missing something but no one in this thread has provided any useful information whatsoever… long story short, there is no way to be on AIM in invisible mode, the only way to see other people without them seeing you is to have a secret screenname that only you know and use that… end of story i hope.well if you select “allow only users below” and don’t add anyone to that small list.. you’re invisible.. and people can’t check if you’re online from other accounts.. this is what aim “privacy” is 😀 andd i didn’t see that chokeonyourwords already said what i did.. my bad 😡
but of course yeah there’s no real invisible mode.. and you can’t block people and still see them online.. but when you don’t want certain people to big you while you talk to others it’s pretty useful
i’m surprised no one’s mentioned this.. but when you go to the wrench menu.. and select “privacy”
it says.. “who can contact me” and gives you the options “allow all users to contact me”, “allow only users on my buddy list” and “allow only users below” (you add the people who you want to talk to you to the box below)
