i have some questions. Im on dialup which connects to a server miles away from where i live. I know that when i dialup i end up with different ip addresses. Is it possible to find out the actually town im in even if i live in the country? Also..someone said this..”Let me better explain the situation. Protocol would not change because that is the computer assigned number when connected to the internet even if you did dial-up it wouldn’t be any different because only certain numbers would change but would still give your location of town and state.” but im in dailup and they said when im in a message board they can get my ip address anyways? and what would they do with my ip address anyways…not like im some famous actress or idol?
