I’m having a similiar problem… My webcam on my laptop (w2k) works fine… My desktop (xp home) freezes shortly after startup, then when I unplug the camera, restart messenger, and plug the camera back in Messenger says “no camera found”. I’ve tried 3 different cameras, all work fine on the laptop, all have the same glich on the desktop. Note: all cameras work fine with Microsoft NetMeeting. The problem is only with Yahoo Messenger on the desktop running XP home. VERY FRUSTRATING.
