i got same problem and my tempoary fix was to install another browser “mozilla firefox” which allowed me to log into hotmail and net.passport but ‘internet explorer’ keeps giving error code 0x1000303 username does not exist or password is incorrect. I know that my service is fine because I can access it through mozilla with no problem. I sure would like a way to get windows updates. does any one know how to uninstall internet explorer? i’ve tried to upgrade to ver.6.0 but it won’t install. really fustrating!
hello I also have this error code 0x1000303 when I try to log onto hotmail or MSN messenger service and the same message “username does not exsist or password is incorrect”. A few other problems relating to this is my windows updates are not working and when I try to install security updates it fails as well.i’ve tried to install internet explorer 6.0 and it won’t download either.
one thing that did help was to install another browser, I chose ‘mozilla firefox’ and through this I was able to access my hotmail just fine and sign in with my net.passport which allowed me to open up a messenger,
but not the one in my program list, a had to use the one which doesn’t require a download to the computer.
hopefully this will help you check email but I sure would like to find a solution to this problem with the internet explorer browser so I can get updates and stuff, I think its corrupted but i’m unable to reinstall or even uninstall it.
