Usually I use Paint Shop Pro but MSpaint also works well.
I also found this program that lets u make and edit buddy icons but I havnt tried it out yet.im gussing it is good aim because of this quote from their web site:

the sound are probally stored on the AOL sever so others can hear your superbuddy icon also. as for the other the button being greyed out the is a box u need to check “Play a sond on this computer when sending a message” that should help.
gtray also works good, it the one I use
Alantis Ocean Mind is a very good word processor. It is not glitchy like Abiword, and dosnt take as much memory as openoffice.org
I dont think did, it might just take a minute or so to load. Just give it some time maybe that will work.
