MemberI’m a gamer, so it’s probably HoboWars or Mafia Wars. 😛

MemberI’ve found out the cause; it turned out Flash was blocked due to a security issue. But thanks for the reply!

MemberBefore doing anything, you should scan your computer for keyloggers that may have stolen your password. Otherwise, your account is just going to get stolen again.

MemberI don’t know if this has been changed, but the last time I checked, you could see if an invisible user on your buddy list is online by trying to view their profile while using version 5.x. If this method still works, it should be possible to write some sort of program that automates this process.

MemberThe “find a buddy” feature hasn’t been working for a very long time.
I’ve heard GAIM can search for screen names by e-mail address, but I’ve never used it so I can’t confirm whether this is true or not.

MemberSince Facebook does not allow non-friends outside your network to see your profile, a nice application would be one that allows you to enter your contact details into the application’s database. Users who want to c=ontact you without adding you would simply search for your name within the database.
Facebook’s application policies do not allow applications to collect information that users have opted not to display (via privacy settings), but for an application like this, users would be consenting to give out their contact details.

MemberI’m sorry if this thread is a bit old, but I just made a few updates. Please tell me what you think.

MemberYeah, I agree. The new AIM 6.0 looks ugly.
My eyes! The goggles do nothing!

MemberAh, thanks for clearing it up. 🙂

MemberJust use another s/n or Doormanbot.

MemberIt’s something like “We could not process your request for a search. The most likely cause is the server is not available at this time. Please try again later.”

MemberAccidents are definitely possible.
For example, if you have set it so that non-buddies who IM you will generate an “accept message” dialog, you can block the person by simply typing “b [enter]”. It’s really easy to accidentally block someone this way. I know I’ve done it before.
But youg uys are right, though. Using another s/n might be too intrusive. I do try to avoid using another s/n in case the person did have a legit reason to block me. For most people, the most reasonable way to question a block is by email.
ixfd64
MemberWell, it’s always nice to know why someone blocked you, especially if it was an accident.
I got quite a few people to unblock me this way.
