First … you won’t get your question answered about revenge. Booting is not cool and the moderators here won’t let you post links to boot sites. But it’s for the best … the last thing Yahoo needs is more booters 😉
Second … YTunnel DOES work GREAT against booters, chat invites, add requests, etc. It’s all about your preferences … and becoming cloaked. Becoming cloaked takes about 15 minutes to set up but is worth the time and effort. YTunnel is $17 … but it’s well worth it, we think. Haven’t been booted since we became cloaked 😀 And trust me .. it’s been tried many MANY times 😉 For some reason ppl get mad when we boot ’em off our cam for saying stupid things 😕 Go figure 8-| :))

I think it’s kinda freaky that Suzanne is stressin’ like this. Sounds like a stalker :O (not judging you, tho Suzanne).
Try going to a chatroom and send your “estranged friend” an invite. Or they may have iggied you by mistake, as someone else pointed out. Stop freakin’ out tho. Maybe that part of your personality made that person “block” you 😉The only thing I know of is to check your friends list. If they’re idle or have a special status message it will show on the list. Altho it seems kinda creepy to me that you want to keep track of your friends comings and goings.
To get around the network error for cams … open a pm box to the person you’re trying to view (not necessary to type to them .. just open the pm box) … go to “friend” ( I think ) and then “view webcam”. Us and our chat buddies call this the “back door.” Then you can close the pm box when you finish.
First … we don’t boot 😉 Second .. the “lock” was lifted the next day. We think it was just yahell .. got caught up in there somehow. But it’s back …
Thanks anyway!Just sounds like yahell to me. We’re on chat more often than not (when we’re not working) and the other night it took us an hour (literally) to get into ANY chat room. You just have to keep piddling with it until it works. There’s even been times where we said f**k it and gave up on trying to enter chatrooms until the next day. There are days when it runs flawless and other days we “fall into yahell” as we put it (text disappears from the room) every 10 minutes.
We recently got a Dell (Dude! We got a Dell! lol) and we thought once we got our new machine set up that those problems would go away. They didn’t. We still have the same problems in the new machine that we did/do on the old machine.
I haven’t heard anything positive about ME so I wouldn’t be able to make any suggestions as far as an OS goes. We run 98 on one machine and XP Home Edition on the newer machine.
We all complain about yahell but it is a free service and I”m sure they do their best trying to keep up.

Yes … I saw the super duper FAQ post … lol. I just wanted to make sure we had covered all of the bases. Like I said .. we’re cloaked and consider ourselves “unbootable” being that our usual “friends” haven’t been able to boot us since we’ve been cloaked. So it’s hard for me to believe someone sent an account locker given we’re cloaked.
Yeah… that’s pretty much what we figured. Funny thing is … we’re running ytunnel and are cloaked. There are 3 specific booters that try to get us but when they fail … they resort to name calling and such. So I’m wondering how did they even get the account locker to us to begin with. Noone knows our main ID that is cloaked. And we also changed our default nic.
To add to what Oreo said … once you create an alias (another nic off one ID), you still have the same friends list. So even if you sign in under your new alias nic, all of your friends will still be on your list. Only problem with using your new alias … if your friends have their pm’s turned off except to only on their friend’s list then they won’t get your pm because your new alias nic won’t be there (unless they added it).
If you create an entirely new id … you’ll have to build your friends list from scratch.
You can be logged into two sepearte ID’s at the same time. One thru messenger, and one thru the webpage.
Go to yahoo’s main page, click on messenger at the top of the page, then scroll to the bottom of the messenger page to “Yahoo! Web Messenger (Beta)” … click that link, then sign on with a different ID.

And about your name list flickering …. Ours used to do that. Before we got our new computer … we had an old Pentium 2 400mHz which would cause our chat to lag. So occasionally the chat text would scroll and the room list would “flicker” but it was because we were lagging. Do you run voice? If so, does the person talking usually sound real choppy or not-normal in anyway? That was an effect of lagging on ours.
So depending on your operating system, that could be the problem.This happens to us too … altho we don’t have to wait that long to log back in. Usually if this happens and we’re not able to immediately get back in, we close yahoo and ytunnel, run our memory cleaner (can’t remember where we got it … maybe Norton), our scan disk and reboot and can log back onto messenger after that.
Just one of the many wonderful effects of yahell!! Can’t complain too much tho … it is free! 😉NO … they don’t all use bots. Bouncer and boss used to admit it. And now they admit that they can’t boot us ‘cuz we’re cloaked. I know they all three try ‘cuz we have ytunnel and I know who tries to send pm’s. It shows up across the top of the screen and it also auto iggies booters. so it’ll say in the chatroom “so and so put into the ytunnel super iggy bin for booting” and if we have the pm’s saved thru ytunnel they’ll all show up in a box.
i KNOW they try to boot us 😉
