I have NOD 32 antivirus program. I have not tried Firefox.
MistyfogMemberThank you will try that. It started happening here at work. So I took my laptop home to see if it did it there and it does it there too. That is why I thought it may be something I needed to check or uncheck in the computer settings.
MistyfogMemberThank you Doris will go look now.
MistyfogMemberDoris are mail fetcher and custom from address part of Gmail? I did not see it when I went to my gmail site?
MistyfogMemberVenOm can I still keep my same email addy with these new email programs? I was looking at Gmail like Doris had recommended but I don’t see how to keep my same email addy.
MistyfogMemberDoris thanks so much for all your help, I really appreciate it. You are a big asset to this site. I am still pondering email accounts as I really don’t want to change email addy’s.Wow after Norton is off I see a speedier computer. Thanks to you and all who have responded. Misty
MistyfogMemberDoris I have Comodo now downloaded. Norton sure didn’t want to be removed. Had to use Revo uninstaller to remove it.
VeNom thank you my daughter has Nod32 and likes it. MistyMistyfogMemberDoris it is saying Comodo is private right now and when I click on download nithing happens. I have no further with anything else.
MistyfogMemberHey I am willing to dump Norton if that will help my situation. I am open to any help. Thanks to you both. Misty

MistyfogMemberDoris what you told me to do yesterday is gone from this message board. I don’t know if you replied last evening as I couldn’t get back into this web site. Misty
MistyfogMemberDoris I did as you said and the only thing I see in task manger that might be Norton is StmWSC.exe. I have tried to enable the firewall but it won’t let me do that. I downloaded it from the internet but had paid for it. I was waiting for my year to be up before I replaced it. I had just tried replacing my Norton 360 is how I got in all this mess. I had used AVG free for a month. Then it said I had to buy the program so I bought it and that is when my problems began. I am open to any freeware you suggest.
MistyfogMemberp.s. Doris I can get the internet again.
MistyfogMember:confused::confused:Doris I have SP2 when I checked. I had downloaded the firewall from the internet so I don’t have an install disc. The firewall is off and I cannot click it on. Not going any farther till you tell me. ..Misty in a Fog
MistyfogMemberDoris I am at work also, so will get back to you later, around 5 o’clock eastern time. Will do just what you said and nothing more. Thanks
