I only use IMs but me and my friends keep losing text…..the letter S seems to cause problems…many times after writing yes….then further words all that shows is “Ye” and usually in black whatever colour the person uses…..
this is really annoying….sometimes its just the last letter s that vanishes but how do you know if there was more unless constantly asking ???and it looks ok to the person who wrote it….
anyone got any clues how to stop this? darn annoying:confused:

and it was the yahoo messenger help that you find on your friends list that said youd appear offline to people you put on ignore !

i found out the answer looking at the yahoo help from my friends list….in explaining how to ignore a user point 5 is5.Click OK at the bottom of the window. You will now always appear offline to this person.
so that answers my question !
BUT
If someone says theyve deleted me and ignored me and yet I still see them online….do I assume they havent in fact put me on ignore?

Ok thanks ! I think thats probably what weve done so far with this problem !!Just have to hope one of you realises whats happening ! ah yahoo loves to tease us ! 😉
what I have done if suspecting this to be happening is post….can you see my replies? or such as a status cos the other person can usually still see the status !! I once held quite a long status convo !!
I also have this problem on occaisions…..sometimes in individual chat boxes sometimes in conferences….I have no firewalls and just a normal 5.5 yahoo……
its very frustrating to not see what your friends are saying or for them to not see what IM saying ! …..most of the time everything is ok..but Id love to know what to do if this happens…thanks if anyone can enlighten me !
Sorry to be thick I dont know what DOCK means…..Id think it means stay where you put it…like a ship would dock….and if thats what you mean ….YES I can put my friends list ANYWHERE on my screen !!! and it stays where I put it !
yes Ive met many online friends from all over the world ….one I love dearly ! but sadly it can never be…..but at least we met, Id not change that for anything !
I hope to meet more friends in time too !

when i first started on the computer I used all caps because I couldnt type at all and it was easier to use all caps….I stopped once I realised it offened people…but I try to be as tolerant as possible !
