You may be on to something though – maybe that’s why we are getting an IT guy finally to make the server better. The computers are pretty new but we did have a time frame where the server was crazy, then we had internet issues, but right now it’s pretty stable minus the occassional tab misfunction.
In the EMR, I use the tab key to move between spaces to put Vitals from height, weight, blood pressure, and pulse. BMI is calculated from all this.
From microsoft, I use it to move between preset templates to enter patient information to set them up for surgery.
So generally moving from one place to another and not as an indentation.

Hey guys, thank you very much to both of you. I think it’s a great cause as well plus the doctors in our practice are very into this cause so I’m glad to help out.
Will definately keep you guys updated on the fundraising and will definately let you know how the walk goes in October.
One thing I’ve always wanted and maybe you know if it’s possible: is to have status changes reflect within an instant message conversation. Back in the day (several Yahoo! versions ago) this was what would happen: You’d be typing to person M and when they’d change their status, it’d show you the update within the text. I miss this feature. Yes, I know it shows it above the message box but I just wondered if this feature was somehow able to be added back or impossible.
I know you wanted ideas with more content or something really useful but I decided to give this a try.
If I think of anything more productive, I’ll let you know. 🙂
So I’ve been using NOD32 aka ESET Smart Security 4 and I absolutely love it. It is nothing like my experience with Norton or anything else. It doesn’t slow my computer down in any way so it’s great. I’m sold and would highly recommend it.
I will say I liked it enough to get my sister and cousin to install it on their computers and they are satisfied as well.
Plus my sister’s computer was starting to slow down and was fearing it was infected with something and now it works great after having been scanned with it.
Just thought I’d give an update and let everyone know how it went.

Nope, not that I notice. The tab key is used about the same as everything else and even the enter, shift, and other keys work fine always. Yes, this is on multiple computers connected to the same network/server. Rough guess without even really counting it’s 17 computers (the 17th one being main server).
What I don’t get is why doesn’t it happen to everyone at the same time? It’s always a different computer.
I don’t have AIM or else I would. Plus I don’t think I can even remember my old log in information.
And yes this comes days late – sorry. School started last week – so full time job + school = less time here. I’m trying to make up for it though!

I don’t think it’s bad enough that it should require some type of block, in my opinion. Plus if we staff become at least a bit active we should all be able to catch it pretty quick. I know I delete them as soon as I catch them (but then again it’s usually the same people who catch them). I don’t know if this is because others see it and don’t care or because they just didn’t log in when it was there – who knows.
I don’t mind doing it – it gives me something to do! Plus it doesn’t hurt anyone being there a bit.
But like I said, just my two cents!
