MemberAre you running Windows XP SP2? It has a built in Firewall, drop me a message via AIM and I can sort you out.
Do the regular AIM and Yahoo! messengers connect normally, by the way?

MemberThat’d most likely take away even more CPU usage from Trillian (Checking and comparing each MSN contacts buddy icon with the stored one and the new one). Considering it does the work of five or so messengers at once it wouldn’t exactly be the best idea anyway, it’s not really a hazard. I mean, does a buddy icon change someone’s personality? I can understand that you don’t really like having to IM them…but if you don’t talk to them, why are they on your buddy list and why do you need to know what their current buddy icon is? Doesn’t make much sense to me, just give em a “Hey, what’s up?” and you’re done. No biggie.

MemberA. You can get scripts for mIRC.
B. IRC is kind of simple, but it works.
C. I think it works the way it is. I hate the idea of chats having to be “attractive”. In Trillian all incoming and outgoing messages a are a solid black on white 12 point font Tahoma =).But that’s just me.

MemberTechnically, if you add them and they aren’t set to request it’s clean.
But if you add them you don’t GET the authorization box because OBVIOUSLY you would say yes ;). However, I think Trillian automatically set it to no authorization needed – Not sure if you can change that, I’ll go check.
Hmm, if you go into your ICQ settings for Trillian there’s a box that you can check that says “Only receive IM’s from users on my buddy list” or something like that. I think that indirectly turns the authorization on/off but I’ll keep looking?
Lol.

MemberDon’t use IE.
And don’t upgrade your current version. I know, I know sometimes you HAVE to use IE, but it’s some kind of a pop-up leader of the world. Firefox, in my opinion is much, much, much more reliable with amazing features. You can get firefox by going to this link: http://www.getfirefox.com
I, personally, could not LIVE without my MSN. Can you?

MemberI can add ICQ users flawlessly and I know people have added me, so I believe Spike’s right. No need for authorization such as in MSN and YIM.

MemberSo, I check my mail, and I see the nifty little BBB mail which I haven’t in a LONG time. I also see Google Messenger? July member of the month- Wait…detn8r hangs up his hat as an advisor? You have GOT to be kidding me, but nooooo!
Anyway, here’s what I got to say, you did an amazing job, we talked on IRC sometime and that was fun. Remember when you said “I’ll just look for the kid in the Adidas hat”? Well, I do anyway. Fun times. Good luck to you in the future, Graham. So keep up all the effort you put into BBB and stick it into school.
Oh, and remember, Canada rocks 😉

MemberGoogle will log chats from the AIM program.
Not any other programs used to sign into AIM though.

MemberYeah, it takes the info from your Yahoo account (On trillian) and attempts to log you in, if sucessful it’ll log you in. And IE is kind of weird and buggish, it’ll keep giving you that message so you’ll have to live with it. However, Mozilla Firefox doesn’t have any of these problems, and it’s a better browser overall in my opinion, otherwise there’s not much you can do except try a little trial and error in the IE settings for blocked sites, and allowed websites among other things that may be related.

MemberOh, WOW that looks great. You can have keys tos tart up your favorite programs and you can switch between languages…
