This is a problem with your comptuer caching the smileys from the AIM server, really nothing you can do.
Messenger Mate for AIM can do this, it cost $10 but it is an excellent program.
http://www.versoworks.comThere is no best version, each version has its advantages and disadvantages. Older versions may have less clutter and less crapware but they lack the features of the newer versions.
You can get an addon that can lock your AIM and/or clone AIM. Messenger:Mate is the one I’d recommend, but its $10. In which case if you want something free that can clone AIM but not lock it, go with Middle Man.

Would it kill you to actually read the post and not post in that format?Aimutation is not compatible with AIM 5.9. Downgrade to 5.5 if you’d like to continue using AIMutation.
As far as I know, there is no APP that can do this.Go to control panel>add/remove programs and removed it from there. It is most likely spyware. In which case I’d highly recommend getting Ad-aware personal edition and/or Spybot.
