I am new to BigBlueBall. I saw so many praises for Beta messenger. I hate it! It shows my nickname instead of who i really am, shows others nick names instead of who they are(the names I have come to know and love) and it confuses the heck out of me. I uninstalled and then reinstalled the old messenger, but i lost cam use all together. I had to go back and reinstall Beta, then install old messenger over it to view cams again. I am running windows xp, so there shouldnt have been a problem with it. I like all the new animated emoticons, but everything else gave me trouble. I couldnt log into chats alot, i had to restart this thing alot, and like someone else said, i couldnt use the enter key to send text. I do disk cleanup rather often(at least daily) to keep the puter running smoothly, and with Beta it seems I have to do it every time i log out. the tip on the emoticons not showing up is a good one tho. I’ll have to pass that on to a friend that has that problem. I’m computer illiterate, and i trudge on by learning from my mistakes. I love this place!
