MemberThe easiest way to clear up this is to goto microsoft and download the latest version of scripting. Which is currently script 5.7 which is currently what is included with Windows Vista. Windows XP originally came with 5.6 . If you are running Windows 98, Microsoft took down the script download. You will have to try to find a copy of script 5.6 from another source.
Once you download it, the installer package will update your script files and register them. If you are running Vista you will may have to turn off your USERS ACCOUNT’s Control off in order to keep Vista from blocking any changes to your dll’s.
For XP ver 5.7 Download details: Windows Script 5.7 for Windows XP
Hopefully this will be of use, since this problem seems to keep popping up for many people over the years.

MemberMfrench, I have other people saying they can’t get voice in chat either. I am going to have to say she isn’t mistaken.

MemberKumari, you should know better than to post links to sites that promote hacking. This thread needs to be locked and have the link deleted.
There isn’t anything you can do if this software does work as advertised. Except, do not respond to anybody in PM that might want to infect you. But it is more likely that the software is infected and will infect the person that tries to run it.
And for somebody to claim that their virus is not detectable is false. To rely on anti virus programs to detect all threats is not a good thing. It also involves your knowledge in knowing exactly what EVERY process on your task manager is. And to be able to tell if something is running that shouldn’t be.

MemberI should probably let this thread die, but I feel compelled to put my 2 cents in. Bandwidth/speed does not kill. Brute force booting is usually not successful.
I am going to try to put post my point without giving any pointers to people who want to boot.
The reason Chat2 and Java protocols were harder to boot is because of their unreliability to deliver packets to the victim. Most of you know how PM’s were lost using those protocols.
There have been several exploits out there that can drop different clients with just one packet.
Look at voice boots. That doesn’t take a lot of bandwidth to boot a room.
So to say it is only bandwidth that is what you have to watch out for is wrong.
There are several different types of boots. The most successful ones use very little bandwidth and cause a buffer overrun, which leave people vunerable to other exploits.
On a side note, I have always found Dermont’s and Hated’s posts to be helpful. They know more about Yahoo Messenger than most. I would call them experts.

MemberGoto Microsoft Downloads and look for Script 5.6. Download and install that and see if that fixes your problem.
You also may want to make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash.

MemberIt sounds like a script problem, goto Microsoft.com and download script 5.6 for your operating system. They problem on the other post is a script problem, which was a give away when they posted about not being able to read the Windows Update Page. They just couldn’t figure out the fix.
Goto http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.aspx?displaylang=en and search for the version of script 5.6 that you need.

MemberIf possible install a quality sound card to unload your CPU. That should help.

MemberThat should fix it. This problem has popped up several times before. You can do a topic search and see other solutions people have taken to solve this same problem.

MemberMagic-Login-Full++7.0 lets you do what you ask. You have to do a search for yourself, since the only place I know where to find it is on booter sites.

MemberDo just like Cupcake said. Check your DirectX using DXDIAG, and make sure you have the latest version of DirectX installed.

MemberYou can block port 5101 tcp using a firewall. Or delete, rename, or move YSERVER.EXE in C:Program FilesYahoo!Messenger (but this will permentantly disable file transfers though).
Here is an older thread listing ports that Yahoo uses.

MemberMac version of Yahoo Messenger sucks. Java servers are not very reliable. You may try going into your PREFENCES / PRIVACY options and set your “away” time to a higher number or set to “never show me as idle”. That may help.
