A friend of mine goes to an all female uni down in PA, and she says they are issued laptops but have to pay through their ass for them each semester.
Actually, the trend nowadays isn’t so much reading buddy profiles, but… Away messages. That’s the craze now, I figure.
I, myself, would much rather use email or the cellphone. With email, you get flexibility, not having to answer immediately, as well as being able to send messages that are more articulated, precise, and well-thought out; instead of the usual: yo dud3 i m h3r3 w#3r3 r u? r w3 g0!ng 2 mandys or n0t?
For instant communication, the cell is best, imho. Although, the cell & AIM have intercollided, since everyone now has sidekicks and pocket PCs.
Now as for figuring out who has added you to your buddy list…. it’s quite simple. PM me, and i’ll tell anyone who’d like to know.
Did anyone ever PM him to see his method on finding out who has you added? I know with the new AIM they did try something like this I just think it was a flop. Here’s an older thread I made on another forum.
Due to the new Life-stream you can see who added you to their BL, how many people have you on their buddylist, and depending on weather or not their sharing their Buddy list.
If you want to turn off life-stream here’s the URL: LifeStream.AIM
Also, Zerxer used the AIM Web-Based API to login and use this feature.
It’s also open source URL: http://www.sitexero.net/aim/

All the reset links are also dead, but if you still own the secondary email associated with your account, then it might still be possible to retrieve the account. Please PM me or post your AIM screen name. And we’ll see what can be done. If not, then you’ll have to register a new AIM account.
TheHunterMemberis there ever gonna be an AIM 7.0 version for this?
