MemberWhen you joined those forums did you receive a confirmation email?(password included)what I mean is the password/s may be stored in the email account you used when you joined up with those forums/sites etc.
I don’t think it’s possible to get the answer any other way unless you stored it on your computer or email account/s.tinethle
MemberApologies stupidisasstupiddoes for misunderstanding your earlier post, you are right group chat does not support voice on Sun Java(hence no voice bar or smiley option),I tested using Microsoft VM and it worked but it did not work for Sun Java(as you have explained)and I shoud have added that to my earlier post(so apologies again).I stand corrected.
Your other suggestion using messenger or another client would be the better option in the long run.
Again sorry for the confusion on my part.

Memberstupidisasstupiddoes wrote:You can’t get sound using the browser page in Yahoo Groups. You will have to tag yourself with another ID or somebody else’s ID in that group chat room, using messenger or another chat client that supports voice.Yahoo groups use yahoo chat, using yahoo chat with either java or the Microsoft VM as I mentioned earlier should allow voice chat.I have tested this again myself, because I have’nt used java chat in over a year, and I went straight to my yahoo group(where I am a moderator)created a room, invited the users within my group, and it did connect to yahoo voice when I entered the room, and I could hear other users on voice.
But you can also do it the other way you suggested by tagging a user(following a username to the created room on a client like yahoo messenger or yahelite)if thats what you meant.

MemberIs there a voice panel in the chat room?If you’re using Sun’s Java VM(virtual machine)then it may be the reason you can’t get voice. You need to check that you have the lastest java sun installed
Or:
You could try using Microsoft VM instead just to see if it works, its very outdated though and microsoft no longer support it,but it may work for you.
To do this go to internet options/advanced
clear(untick)the box beside Java (Sun) and then tick the checkboxes for Microsoft VM and click ok.Reboot your computer and try group chat again and hopefully it will work.Incidentially don’t leave microsoft VM on all the time, just use it when you want to use chat and disable it afterwards, but make sure you enable Sun Java afterwards and reboot.
Microsoft VM build 3805 can be downloaded here http://java-virtual-machine.net/download.html
edit*** sorry eagle_kiwi just read your reply,I think you may be right about Sun java not working properly.

MemberYou dont need to download anything for a script to activate(you did the right thing though X’ing out of the download)god knows what you would have downloaded. It might have been an activex or java exploit-as I said before there are many different ways to get information without using a key logger or trojan.
Its part of yahoo customer service to send out those generated responces, annoying as they are -it helps them understand better the steps you have taken to resolve your problem. If you keep emailing them back eventually they will ask you to send them your original account information(probably in a list format). If you don’t know your info then sorry but theres nothing you can do and they can’t help you either.

MemberIf you can email yahoo the original account information-the information you entered when you first created the account-(ie)zip code, secret question and answer, date of birth, then yahoo can help you regardless of whether the information was changed by someone else. http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/security/cgi_feedback
There are many different password stealers out there, and it doesnt necessarily mean its a virus,it could simply just be a url hack.

MemberAlso you should probably report the link to yahoo, include the ID that sent the link and they will take action on it send an email to cc-advoc@yahoo.com
If you are worried you are infected then I would suggest you pop over to http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan. As Eagle pointed as long as you don’t click on the link you will be fine, and I would not recommend you IM or email the person in the future.

I have tried to access the account with correct ID and Password. Present Password is: drmlr786.
Repeated try only shows a page saying: This account has been DEACTIVATED. I don’t understand why it has been so.
Please help me so that I can access my favorite account: libra88992003@yahoo.com
My alternate e-mail accounts are (1) drmdlatifur@yahoo.com (2) drmlrahman@dekko.net.bd
Waiting for urgent help. Thanks.DR. MD. LATIFUR RAHMAN
As freddy pointed out repeated failed attempts to login to your account will cause the account to be locked down for security reasons. If you know your date of birth/zip code/country you can request a new password https://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_forgot_pw?. If not then sorry but your account is gone.
You might also want to delete your cookies and clean your internet cache

MemberThe spyware is probably gone but your browser may have been hijacked in the past and that can seriously mess with browser add ons, like yahoo toolbar for example. You have an icon on your browser(yahoo messenger icon) which leads to no where,so you get that error message, yahoo toolbar is probably messed up,I would suggest you uninstall the yahoo toolbar from add/remove programs if its still present.
You said you removed all previous yahoo files, did you tick search for hidden files and folders in search when you were removing the previous files,if no then there could still be some files present but you can’t see them.
As for the installation not running,I’m not sure what the exact cause might be but you may not have enough memory to run the installation, because something else may be draining resources,(ie)a virus or more spyware.

MemberDid you test the yahoo ID you’re trying to login on yahoo messenger? It could possibly be banned. You may need to register the ocx file/s using regsrv32,I think libraryfiles.exe just covers the dll files
To do this :from your desktop, click start/run (copy and pasteone of the below-depending on which operating system you have and hit enter)
example:Windows 95, 98, or Me:
regsvr32 windowssystemmswinsck.ocxWindows NT or 2000:
regsvr32 WINNTsystem32mswinsck.ocxWindows XP:
regsvr32 windowssystem32mswinsck.ocxYou should see a message saying “DllRegisterServer … succeeded
In the future any ocx file/s you put in your system32 folder but sure to use regsrv32 as well, just to make sure it registered properly. You may also be missing more ocx files
perhaps unsakred can help more.
Hope this helped.

MemberFirstly are you sure you logged in a yahoo ID and password on buddy spy before you start to scan?
Since you updated your firewall the rules for your firewall may have changed. So I would suggest you have a look at your firewall/program control settings and make sure buddyspy has access to the internet.

MemberI believe that is the correct windows installer,3.1.4000.2435 is definitely 3.1 v2
I’m not really familiar with WiseMain to be honest, but if other programs are installing ok then I doubt its your windows installer thats the issue, either way you reinstalling win installer wont effect your computer.I would probably try uninstall wisemain if its possible to uninstall it from add/remove programs, wisemain uses MSI(windows installer)so if the Wise0132.dll is the corrupted part then it would obviously effect the installation of yahoo messenger,I doubt very much the file you downloaded from the yahoo messenger website is the issue.
So try uninstall wise, reboot, then try install yahoo messenger again(with wise uninstalled you will be using just windows installer on its own).If that doenst work, then you’ll probably have to do a system restore unfortunately.

MemberYour file is corrupted. The CRC is a protocol for error checking. It creates a numeric based on the data packet, and then compares it with the destinations calculation. If they match, then the transmission of data was accurate. If not, then it failed, and the protocol tells the computer(s) to retry. Either way, the file is messed up.
Second, wise0132 is the Wise Installer program. It is likely that this is the corrupted part of the file.you may need an updated version of windows installer.

Membergreatqueue wrote:Yes …i checked what all you have told me …but still the same problem exists .try cleaning out your yahoo cache folder,(delete the contents within the folder-not the cache folder itself)make sure yahoo messenger is not running
reboot your machine and see if the problem occurs when you pm buddies.this is a long time known problem and yahoo have yet to provide a solution other than checking your firewall configuration or proxie settings.
**cache folder is located at c:/ or d:/ program files/yahoo/messenger/Cache

Membergreatqueue wrote:I din do any changes to my system .. This issue suddenly started happening suddenly . Its driving me crazy …..:-(did you install any new software recently?
or have you ran a scan for spyware or viruses.also
make sure u have Java turned on;
Select “Tools” from your menu bar and choose “Internet Options…” Click on the “Security” tab. For the Internet zone, be sure that the Security level is set to “Medium” or below. (If you have chosen to customize your Security settings for the Internet zone, be sure that under the Java heading, “Java permissions” is not set on “Disable Java.” Select one of the three safety levels instead. Also make sure that under Scripting, “Scripting of Java Applets” is set to “Enable” or “Prompt.”)(this is just to rule out either a network issue or a system based problem)
thanks
