Sarah, get a “region free” dvd player or make your current dvd player multi-region.
If your dvd player is from any major brand, you can most likely make it region free for €50 or less.
You can add AIM users to ICQ lists and vice versa in the latest versions of AIM and ICQ.
Please make sure you and your friend are using the latest versions of AIM and ICQ.
You can use the default skin Trillian Whistler for 3.0 in Minimal mode.

Yes, I use Trillian to connect to IRC and it works fine.
When you say packet #, I assume that your mean an IRC channel link such as irc://irc.bigblueball.com/bigblueball ? Trillian does currently not support clickable IRC links, but Trillian Pro may support them soon through the url:IM plugin. This plugin currently supports AIM, ICQ, Jabber and Yahoo.
The MSN-Popup plugin does exactly what you want.
Not sure what helpbyte is, but Online Status Indicator should support what you want.

Trillian connects to AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN and Yahoo. You can do most of the things you can do in AIM. In addition to that, Trillian can also connect to ICQ, IRC, MSN and Yahoo so if you have friends on those networks you can talk to them using the same messaging program. I suppose the biggest advantage of Trillian is if you have friends on more than one messaging network…
Nope! Lycos, Excite and QQ are not supported by OSI. Does anyone know if they have their own web status indicators?
Let me confirm what DangerBoy is saying. There is no screenname to add that can help you. You need to set your privacy setting to Allow all to get it to work. All other settings hides your online status, which kind of makes sense; if you don’t allow everyone to contact you, why would you let everyone see your online status?
