That was all part of 545studios which is no longer around. So I’m not sure what the status is what was going on with their affilation with deviantART.

Also AIMutation has this feature.

Sorry that I posted AIM+ being in VB, it wasn’t meant to misinform anyone, it was my personal memory being wrong (thought I had read on Big-O-Software’s website long ago it being in VB). But, back to the original question if your wanting to make an AIM addon I would suggest C.

There is no guide that tells you how to write an AIM addon that I am aware of. Both DeadAIM and AIMutation are written in C++, where AIM+ is written in VB. If you like C++ your at a good start since according to the programmers of DeadAIM and AIMutation that is the only way to go when creating an addon for AIM.

If your serious about working on AIM addons and want to code in C++ then hopefully when the new AIMutation website comes up it may be good news for you and other C++ programmers. (I can’t say what the AIMutation announcement will be or when it will be offically made so don’t ask, sorry).

No only works with AIM verisons 5.1.3030 through 5.5.3415 but, recommend that you use the current verison of AIM 5.2.3292 for best results.

Try turning off Skinning and “New IMs don’t steal focus”. Then enable “Flash IM & Chat window on message receipt”.

Try AIMutation it will let you modify your Buddy List Background and font colors.

There isn’t a skin making program however making skins isn’t really that difficult.

There has been a few changes since this tutorial came out, additional buttons being skinned. But, if you look at someone elses skin you can figure it out pretty quick.
