MemberThe guys at AIMutation are very helpful and striving to make their product even better. They should also have a new beta version for download ready this weekend, with IM skinning.

MemberDon’t think there is any anti-booters out there yet. Something that should be developed a much need product.
If you want to figure out who is booting you log into AIM Express
http://www.aim.com/get_aim/express/aim_expr.adp
It will show the users screen name and they won’t be able to boot you. Then you can place them on your blocked list. However, there are some booters (punt) programs that can get around that even if you have them blocked. If that is the case you will need to change your options in AIM to only allow the users in your buddy list to IM you and block all others.
Don’t expect much help from AOL when it comes to someone booting you.:(

MemberYou would be able to download the smiley sets from AOL’s UK site but the US version of AIM can not, and only other AIM users using the UK version of AIM 5.X can see the smileys of other UK users. If you sent a AIM smiley from the UK version to a person using the US version of AIM they can not see the smiley.
Also the smileys sets I have seen of the UK version is using different font code for smiley sets. This is probably because it is pointing to the UK AOL servers and not the US AOL servers. Plus the UK version of AIM will not allow you to install the US AIM smiley sets.

MemberNo actually AOL is using versign for security to control if you get to install Smiley sets. Once I signed up, all of the screen names I have with AOL allow Smiley sets. But, any screen names I created just for AIM that are not associated with my AOL account do not allow Smiley sets.
Since they offer both yearly and monthly subscriptions I doubt that they are using a file to allow smiley sets to be installed. I do know that UK users of AIM get smiley sets for free. Personally I think they should be free for US users too.
Here is the xml code for smileys…
