MemberAlana, are you using a firewall such as zone alarm? That was my problem. As far as why Zone Alarm suddently started acting this way I don’t know but as soon as I shut it down AIM stopped disconnecting. So if you are using a firewall, try disabling it just to see if that’s what it is.

MemberActually Alana, it did the same thing once but has been fine since then. So either it stopped or it doesn’t do it as often. Either way, it’s “better.” Thanks again.

MemberThanks alana, but it didn’t work. I’m still searching for an answer though. So, if anyone has an idea, it’s welcome.

MemberWell ,I found the version so no one has to bother with a link. I’m downloading it right now but thinking about it I suspect the problem won’t fix itself because I tried to use Trillian before and had the same problem with AIM through that. ICQ seemed to work fine through it though. *shrug*

MemberThanks Alana, I”ll have to give that a try. Does anyone know where I can get AIM version 5.1.3036? I started to look but I need to go to class so I’ll look again later but a link would be appreciated. Thanks.

MemberWhat do you mean go under Preferences and Connection?
Do you mean the connection button in preferences under the the sign on/off catagory? And what is there to do there? Auto configure? I’ve tryed that before and it didn’t work.
Thanks for the reply.
