(Once you direct connect, you will be “proxy-ing” though your external IP address, and you may see “him” as the same address as you. I’m not sure how the AOL server could possibly get you to sync up with a client on the same LAN when you are not providing the server with your “real” LAN IP address.
ok I understood half of that….what are you trying to say to me then?

MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by Lexaprowinston, can we get more information about the situation? I can help but im confused… you wrote earlier it was a “user” but then say this… “hey Quik….they are just threatening me and saying things to me that I am not appreciating at all.” is this 1 person or 2 people?
It is just one person from what I know of. It is a user on AIM….just a fake screenname but thats all I know about him. I need to get his IP to turn into campus police

MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by DavidAnd the problem with blocking him/her is? Or even select “Block all users not on my list” in the privacy options.
the problem is I want and need to find this guy. He has made numerous threats and goes to my school. Blocking on AIM doesnt pertain to real life.

MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by dragonrebornWell since I couldn’t find it here in my five minutes of searching I found this:
Quote:quote: If/Once you direct connect to him:
open a command prompt and type either…
netstat -n
netstat -n | find “4443”So that should work…try it next time he/she signs on!
open a command prompt where…in dos?

Memberok I will be here….if anyone else has information please help!

Memberhey Quik….they are just threatening me and saying things to me that I am not appreciating at all. How can I get the IP address from direct connecting with the person? and the link spy thing could work but this person knows better. I know he goes to my school because he knows things about me that a stranger would not know.
