Well, I don’t suppose I have to uninstall my drivers in order to get a valid message from the verification software first? If you think it might have an effect, please let me know.

Anyway, I ran the verification software, and it said that the Catalyst update cannot be installed on my system and that I should contact the producers of my laptop in order to obtain the newest driver updates. (I can’t give it to you as a direct quote, as it is in Danish :-P)

Actually, I’ve already tried this, but it won’t let me install any other drivers than those supplied with my laptop!!

I have an ATI Mobility Radeon X700 PCI Express with 128 MB VRAM…

Well, about the problem with large contact lists, I wouldn’t say that mine is THAT long – and I have no problem with running WLM/IE/… on my other puter at all. …and as my problem does not only relate to WLM, I can’t see how a clean-up in my contact-list should help!?

BUT if you really believe that it could fix my problem with both IE, Media Player, Office, WLM and the other programs I have listed, then I will give it a try…let me know…

VERY strange!
I have now unstalled all Macromedia and Adobe flash players, and downloaded the newest Adobe flash player (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash). BUT, when I try to install it, I get to the screen where I choose language. I choose U.S. English and press ok – and then nothing happens! Any thoughts/comments??

All CPU resources are used all the time when I have any of the programs mentioned opened.

As I have already stated in two posts, I have thoroughly scanned for and removed any spyware/virus and so on recently with the help of some very competent dudes.

Well, I have now tried to disable and uninstall ZoneAlarm – but without any luck!

I doubt it that Messenger Live Plus is going to be any help, as this problem not only pertains to Messenger, but to iexplorer.exe and wmplayer.exe as well (also, I discovered that som e-mails contain elements causing the same problems when I try to open them; the same thing happens when I try to use online services from within MS Office)

PLEASE! Any other solutions to this problem? It is VERY annoying!
