This is news just posted on the main page of BigBlueBall. I just tried this earlier today and it would not work with 8.0. My point was to let everyone know that it is incorrect information. It is even listed at http://www.aim.com/tango as Aim 8.0+ or higher.

This is a pretty cool Skin. I found it in the Trillian Forums. It makes each protocol look like the real one.
As Jeff said. I did not start this post to argue about the pricing of Trillian. I posted this to let everyone know who is searching for people to ask for Trillian that we ALL will hopefully ignore them.
Between msn and ICQ? Use MSN. I am one of the first ICQ users aswell, and went from having a few hundred people to about 3. Noone is using ICQ now that they had implemented the advertisements and banners. Although there are ways to remove these, not everyone wants to go through that trouble.
I use Trillian, I love it. There are a few others. Miranda is ok.

Download either and try them for a while. If you dont like, remove them 🙂

I like Miranda, but the main reason I prefer Trillian over Miranda, is the Meta Contacts option on Pro. I have friends on every messenger. This way I can have them ALL in my list, but under one name so it doesn’t take up extra room.
If you are a registered Trillian Pro user goto http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/members/lost.php enter your email and they will send you your password. If you are using a hacked version of Trillian Pro, try paying for it or use the free one. The patch will be out for 0.74 soon.
Right now, the patch is only available to Trillian Pro members, until all the bugs are worked out. If you are a member goto http://www.trillian.cc and click on members. Log in, and the patch will be on the right side.
Trillian Pro 2.0 members, Log in, and there is a Yahoo Beta patch. Ive installed it, and it works fine for me 🙂

Yeah its using the same skin. You can change back to classic look in preferences. Im just happy I can use Single Mode windows again 🙂

Are you using a Hard Firewall or a Software one?
If you use a Hard Firewall ie Router, The incoming IP on your computer will be dynamically assigned by the router. Therefore, noone can get past the router on incoming. My experience, I have gotton around software firewalls easy 😉

That shouldnt be too hard.
Click on Start, then Programs, then scroll down to the ICQ folder. There should be an option there that says Uninstall ICQ.
If there isnt. Goto Start, Settings, Control Panel, and double click on Add/Remove Programs. It should be in that list. Just click on Add/Remove and it will be gone. If that dont work, get ahold of me and ill see what I can do 🙂
