YuP it been down for me about 30 minutes. I can't log into my Yahoo messenger program. Yahoo mail is working but slower than usual.
I don't post that often but come here to check things out when i'm having problems with yahoo. I can't get on messenger either. One of my yahoo mail accounts works, i can't get the other to come up. Thank you for posting this so we know what's going on. It's much appreciated! 😀
Have not been able to access Yahoo IM for about 2 hours.
Email works for one of my accounts, but not both.
yes the servers are down also down is messenger.yahoo.com and chat.yahoo.com I think your right about getting all the bugs out.
everything that deals with the messenger is downMy Yahoo IM hasn't worked for 4 hrs. The other day my e-mail alerts weren't working-they started working again 2 days later . This evening (UK time) I'm not even receiving Yahoo mail

When i first tried, it would tell me i entered wrong password, even though i was entering the correct password and that same password would work on Yahoo! Mail (letting me know it was a Yahoo! Problem, not mine). Either that or it would just go back to the main log in screen making me have to hit “sign in” again with no success.
I really do hope they are fixing the bugs. It'd be a great way of making up the hours they are making us go without it. I'm a Yahoo! Messenger lover, what can i say, i need it! 😛
So just like everyone else, i'll go back to doing the only thing we can do… *waits*
I can get into my yahoo email, but I can't sign onto my Yahoo IM.
Good to know that others are having a problem too and it's not just me!
Alright, hopefully it's up again soon. Been down for..hmm 3 hours that I've noticed. At first I thought it was just GAIM messing with me.
Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum, I registered to see what was up with IM today. Yahoo in general has been up and down lately. Mail works ok but groups have been down a lot lately. I prefer yahoo messenger to all of the messengers so I hope they get this fixed FAST.

KathyLet me be the first to Welcome you to BBB (BigBlueBall)! I'm glad you decided to join and i think we all agree with you and hope Yahoo! fixes this problem soon. As you can tell i love Yahoo! Messenger and it's my favorite instant messenger. But like i said, let's hope that all these “downs” are for a good cause and in the end cause Yahoo! services to work a lot better! 😛
It is almost 7:00 pm, Saturday here in USA, EST. My YM 7.5 logged me off (without me knowing) some time in the middle of day, may be around 3:00 pm (best guess). It was working fine in the morning. My regular Yahoo and Yahoo Mail works fine. I thhought may be some files gone astray, so I reinstalled YM 7.5 (without uninstalling anything).
Now I see that Yahoo server is the culprit! I hope, in my haste, I have not done some damage to some files by reinstalling 7.5 on top of existing YM 7.5.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.I hope they fix this fast enough and that they fix at least half the problem Yahoo has. :confused:
