MemberYou sit and waste your time on something like this instead of trying to make something of your own that is usefully. You think it is okay for yourself to make programs that can do things that were never intended by Yahoo, yet you think it is perfectly okay since others may want something like this.
Why do you think it is okay to make a program to find out if someone is hiding or not. Istn't that their own business to hide from someone if they want to or not, or if they want to stay hidden to talk to one or more people without getting tons of messages from others?
Guess according to you it is not all right for people to have their own privacy, when you go and make a program like this this gives them no privacy. Save all your lame excuses as to why you think people should have this.
Just because people have an instant messanger and a nickname for it does not mean that it is your right to invade their privacy.
Eventually Yahoo will find out about this they always do find out when someone makes a program to do something to site or programs and fixes it, yet people like you will spend the rest of your life trying to make illegal programs to do things against Yahoo wishes.
If Yahoo wanted this feature in they would have made it.
Ever hear of privacy laws? Guess not when you made something like this. Do you think it is okay to open someopne elses mail without their consent? If you think it is wrong to do that then what makes you think it is okay to do something like this?
People like you are the reason program makers have to make fixing their programs all the time.
I can see how you think it is so cool to make a program to spy on people and it tells you no they are not on yes they are on, then come here telling people about it and getting them to download it.
Think you need to read Yahoo's terms of agreement again since you seemed to miss it before when you signed up.
http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/
Directly from Yhaoo terms of agreement which you suposely agreed to.
a. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
Read the part invasive of another's privacy, so the program you made does just that it invades their privacy.
h. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
You now have limited the features on yahoo with your program people can no longer use the invisable mode, since your program now search them out and tells you they are invisable or not.
m. “stalk” or otherwise harass another
Now you made it a whole lot easier for people to stalk and harass others since they can now use your program and see if they are really on and make new names to keep contacting them, leaving the person who is being harrassed wondering how the person doing the harrassing know that they are online when they are in the invisable mode to them and they shouldn't be able to know if they are on or not.
Now lets hear all the bashers come out of the wood work and try to give their best excuses and flames as to why they think this is a good program to have and why they think I am an idiot for thinking it is wrong for this program to ever been made. Say all your nasty stuff now like to hear it.

Firstly and foremost,
I dont sit and ‘waste' my time on something, I work on programs here and there, I have a life and a new born, they are my focus…
If I choose to work on programs such as these, I do it in my spare time.Secondly, it is obvious people want something like this.. This is a 13 page thread.

MY program uses the same packets that Yahoo! Messenger does, packets that are already in place and in use.

Save all your lame excuses as to why you think people should have this.It would be quite simple for yahoo to “patch” this program, or even Y! Tunnel if chet wants to make more money..

I am not sorry for encouraging Yahoo! to actually make a decent product. Ya, about that spending the rest of my life, lol nah I am all set thanks..

If Yahoo wanted this feature in they would have made it.They did, where do you think I got the packets from.

People like me? That makes me feel great. The people that made the YMSG protocol and the Messenger Program, get paid a lot more money than I do. They should at least make a program, that keeps peoples privacy.

So no one is getting them to download it.Quote:quote:

I find it a little dodgy as to what you are saying, I am using packets that Yahoo! Messenger uses, so if you want to get technical, Yahoo! breaks their own privacy law..

Memberflyinghighnow
It is possible to do all the things that unsakred's program does with just yahoo, it provides all the features the thing about knowing which room people are in, whether they are invisble or offline can be checked with just yahoo messenger. If the programers yahoo feel they can get away with sloppy programing, they are wrong people like unsakred make sure that people do not have to live with sloppy programs. This is a good forum if it was an invasion of privacy I am sure the mods would have taken care of this topic a long time agoNovember 28, 2004 at 4:53 pm #71826aneagle
