MemberHey Sakred
Last night I had a hell of a glitch with internet explorer in which I had no choice but to remove the internet explorer in its entireity and yes Microsoft hates you messing but I was left with no choice well it was that or a total reformat and I wasn’t in the mood for a reformat. Once I removed it all I knew I would have lost a few files and .dlls that are associated with Buddy Spy. I installed them all in not a problem.
However I came across something unusual, I clicked on BuddySpy and a box came up saying unexpected Error. No Message no nothing except for that and that alone. I thought I glitched my Explorer reinstall.. but it showed me I hadn’t, so I racked my brains on what files do I install for my programs on my puter and I couldnt think. So then I had one file left to try which I had installed way earlier but didn’t think the files would be removed when I totally removed IE and it was this file Visual Basic 6 Runtimes. Once I installed that the Buddy Spy ran perfectly fine. I just wanted you to know incase anyone comes to you with a button saying Unexpected Error and no other message and that the possiblity of BddySpy not running is due to a corrupt or their computer doesn’t have the Visual Basic 6 Runtimes files.
By the way bro have you checked your email, I sent you all the skins in email that you are missing, I collected them all and noticed on your site you were asking for them sent it to the mail you had on your home page for people to send in case they had it.
For other people who may be experiencing missing .dll files here are the urls Follow the pages instructions for them and all is fine.

MemberUnSaKreD, I have your new BuddySpy1a. Ever thing works well and I love that I can now check multiple users status. No longer one be one. But, when I close the program and open it agion, the multiple user list was gone. Well not the list itself but, all the user names added were. So I have to add them all agion each time I open the program. Can you add a saver to it please. Thanks. Really do love it other then that problem.

ParticipantDice, it’s there, right click inside the list window and you get add, remove, save and load options.

MemberNow I have a new problem it BS1a. After I loaded my saved list and press check.
I get this >>> Run-time error ‘35601’: Element not found <<< and the program shutdown.
Dues’ anyone know what this is and what I can do about it?October 6, 2004 at 11:28 am #71811aneagle
ParticipantYes, it’s one of 2 or 3 problems waiting for Unsakred to solve. I ran like 50 times the BS1a in different scenario to make the errors appear but for the real use I fall back to the old version with only single ID scan because it’s the most reliable.

MemberHi,
I’ve asked this before but with no reply 🙁
Why can’t Buddy Spy find users in “user created” rooms as opposed to Yahoo created rooms? Most of the buddies I have are in these types of rooms.Otherwise, this is an absolutely awesome program.
Thanks,

MemberI am actually quite perplexed as to why, the goto packet doesnt work when users are in a private room.
I am working on that.
For angeagles, and a few other peoples problem with the list load.
Not sure why that error is getting raised, I have yet to actually see that particular error.
As for your question Maine girl, yes, it will find them.
Oh, and thank you travelers for sending the skins, I have yet to find the time to add and update my site, too many projects so little time!
I did a quick update to Buddy Spy, in hopes to solve the crash on list load.
So for all that experience that problem, please test this new version.
Thank you

MemberNo problems here finding people in user created rooms, the only time it doesn’t work is if the room is “invite only” and that would be because the bot can’t join them to check it.

Participant1.0.20
tested with and without ZoneAlarm:-all ID’s are shown as offline.
-clear the result window, re-check: error 91 and crash most of the times.October 7, 2004 at 3:51 am #71657zbig
MemberJust updated today to Buddy Spy 1a. I am getting people showing up in both types of rooms be they user created or not. What confused me initially was if someone is using an unknown “alias” in the room then they will still show up as “online” but not necessarily in the chat room. Poeple should make certain that they have the correct alias name being used in the chat room matching that used to scan in Buddy Spy when checking if this feat works or not.
In a wish list of things to have one day two features come to mind:
1. if there was an autorefresh that could scan through the list of contact and use a wav file to notify users if someone’s status had changed just like Y messenger that would be great.
2. If there was a way of detecting a user’s unknown alias name and the room they were using it in that would be outstanding! I looked into alias checkers, and never came across a reputable one that worked. I’m not sure that this second feature is technically possible
Awesome program by the way – keep up the good work and THANKS!!
