A silly question: How do I refetch registration in PSI ? If I try ‘Register’ when its fetching the registration form. The focus goes back to the ‘Fetching registration’ dialog.

Now that GTalk has enabled remote archiving in gmail. The jabber transports we use here too get archived 🙂I was excited about this idea so I imediatly did everything but I was very dissapointed when the contacts did not show up in Google Talk. Everything else worked as described except the last vital step of it actully working.
I have a feeling that the transport is trying to connect to msn even if i dont sign in. some of my friends have reported me saying that they get auto-replies with whatever message they send.
I had to change my password and dont use this Jabber transport temporarily.
Is there anyone who’s encountering a similar problem?
Yeah, I just kinda stopped using Gtlak – MSN altogether, so now I’m on Gtalk and using Windows Live Messenger, but it get’s rid of the problems. Just, the MSN transport was way too buggy to even use, so I didn’t think others liked the way it auto-replied back to them, and I didn’t like the lack of people IMing me.
I have tried the psi hack and it works perfectly , but I uninstalled psi and deleted all the msn contacts in google talk and rebooted GT , it was all still there , I have tried to delete everything with psi and still the msn contacts reappear in GT. I need to use msn voice with some friend and can’t because GT keeps signing out my real msn , QUESTION JEFF , HOW DO YOU UNDO THIS. PLEASE HELP
To remove one or more transports, do not uninstall Psi. Instead, launch Psi, then delete the transports from your contact list. This should also remove related contacts.
If you delete the MSN transport, your MSN contacts disappear, and so on.
I ended up deleting the MSN transport but have kept the AIM transport, just because AIM allows multiple logins.
I have successfully set all things up, but I’m not sure exactly how it works. I have registered 2 MSN accounts and 2 Yahoo account at the same time, but how do I manage the service directory? Will the contacts of the 2 accounts in both MSN and Yahoo all show up in my contact list?
i configured everything correctly to connect google talk to yahoo and i am able to talk to my yahoo contacts using google talk but the problem is i am unable to c them online sometimes in google talk although they r visiblw as online in yahoo messenger ..can any one helo
Sometimes that happens, I usually find that I can see them online then when I start talking to them they go appear to be offline but I’m still chatting. On Psi, make sure with the transport your are logged in (if you mean that you never see your buddies online), so go to the transport and right click, then click log in and it should work then.
Maybe I’m missing something, but I’m having some problems “registering” with other services. When I browsed to ursine.ca the option to register with the different transports was greyed-out. Not all of them, but the big ones like AIM, Yahoo, ICQ and MSN. I noticed that my service discovery window looks a little different than the one in the screenshot. There is no text next to the icons for those services. Check it out:

Any idea what I’m doing wrong? I really want to get all my messaging services in one place. please help.
I managed to transfer msn yahoo and aim but i saw that my contacts as my awatar see jabber icon!!! How can i set my awatar??
WildCide, for you try searching google for things like “AIM Jabber Transports”, you will find others there which should work.
bokibre, I don’t know of a way to change it because those avatars are given by the transports you use.
I have been playing for the last few days and have Psi all setup with my ICQ contacts and Yahoo etc and GooleTalk however when i log into google talk i don’t have any additional contacts?
Have google pulled the pin or am i missing some vital step!
