The Profile Tweaker will force in ASCII characters into your nickname and also allows a four digit age for all you immortals.
Thanks a million, Shifter! I had both of those, but did something unknown with them (probably deleted them). They both work like a charm.
Only one problem – what about aliases? Do you have to go through all that other stuff to change the nicknames like that? Or am I missing something?November 24, 2003 at 10:31 pm #54570m4id3n
MemberIt will only work on one profile per account from what I have been told. I tried it make it work with an alias and lost the changes on the main account.

MemberProfile tweaker, can only do one nick at a time.
Obviously you must have the user/pass to the account name in order to change the profile.
This is how it works.Profile Tweaker connects to login.yahoo.com
Then goes to kr.profiles.yahoo.com (korean profiles)
Then changes the information based on what you added.December 27, 2003 at 1:45 pm #54582incognito_78m
MemberI can't seem to get this character insertion thing to work so I have a few questions. First, are you using the character map to get the invalid symbols and if so is there on specific font that you have to use. I can get the concept to work but it won't accept the characters that I'm choosing for some reason. They come up as vertical rectangles and stuff. Last question, do you Have to download the language pack for this to work?

MemberMs Charmed, I have already posted numerous ways to get symbols into your chat name, the easiest of which is to go to here and download the Profile Tweaker.
Also, I have removed your other post here, if you wish to contact someone privately, please use the contact information available in there profiles. Otherwise, keep it off our help forums. Thanks for joining BigBlueBall and please feel free to introduce yourself in the Introductions Forum. Good Luck 😀

MemberThe Profile Tweaker appears to be unable to change your information, likely due to Yahoo Server/Protocol changes. If anyone has another program that is able to tweak your profile to allow symbols, please post it. Until then, you will have to do it the manual way as posted at the beginning of this thread.
Ms Charmed, in order for me to help you, you need to actually ask a question about your problem, now that you've done so, I have answered you. Asking me if I have time to answers you, is kind of pointless. I always have time to help out where I can! 🙂

MemberWell I am currently working on making a Profile Tweaker v2.
It's just a matter of sniffing some packets and changing the servers.
The reasong why profile tweaker was patched, was because it was using a korean server which grabbed kr.profiles.yahoo.com/edit.html
And posted the information that way.
Unfortunately, Yahoo loves to download my programs and fix them shortly thereafter.
I do believe I have a new way w/ out using an outside US server.
But Don't expect a re-release anytime to to soon.
I am already working on about a dozen projects.
Just keep checking

MemberNo kidding! I guess that must be why I posted this:

Please read the ENTIRE thread before asking questions which may have already been answered. Heck, all you had to do was read the post above yours to see another version is being developed.

ParticipantI finally got my nick to change in Ascii characters as they have said, but the old profile tweaker doesn't work anymore. You have to change the language manually though under the “General preferences” tab and edit your profile in another language, risky but it sure works! I prefer using chinese – mainland. Reading is what helps most! I hope this would help you guys a lot! 😎
